Really should have someone good enough for England's senior team by now. It's been long enough.
So true.
Asian players especially kids experience "underlined racism" hence struggle to get selected - end up playing for Asian teams and automatically get labeled. I managed to get to play for Huddersfield Town juniors - played 3 games. Found it difficult to get to training - dad was always at work working to feed us - bless him.
Parents also nowadays try to push kids academically, making that a priority.
Yesterday i heard of a little kid Zak Arshad - first British Pakistani kid signed for Liverpool! Lets hope thats the start of something bigger.......

InshAllah this would be the start of something.

Well done on playing for the Terriers though! 3 time football league champions no less.

Played 1 and 2 subs - 3.2 miles from the house! Was fun - but studies and a busy workaholic dad took it to an end

As long as Stephen Constantine is the coach this team will not do anything.

Is this team in Danish top tier?

Would he have been good enough to play for Denmark national team instead of Pakistan in your opinion?

No, his team is not in the Danish top division. He plays in Sweden, for Mjällby AIF, which is in the Swedish top league, the Allsvenskan. Mjällby are actually first in the league right now and he’s one of the main reasons for it. He’s only 22 and already one of the best defenders in the league this season. He’s been named in the Team of the Week three times and also made Team of the Month. And that’s just with half the season played so far.

About whether he’s good enough for the Danish national team — I think right now he probably wouldn’t start for Denmark because they have some really good centre-backs playing in bigger leagues. But based on how he’s playing in Sweden, he looks like someone who could at least be noticed and maybe called up to the wider group if he keeps improving. He’s very solid, reads the game well, good on the ball, and physically strong. For Pakistan he’s already a big player, and in Denmark he’d probably be seen as a good talent, but not quite at the level of their current starters yet.

Of course, he’s not going to play for Denmark now since he is already cap-tied to Pakistan. But if you’re just asking about the level — if he keeps this up and moves to a stronger league, he could absolutely reach a point where he would be good enough to at least be considered for Denmark in the future. He has the right age, mentality, and ability to grow into that level if everything goes right for him

Congratulations to all Pakistani fans. Absolutely massive.

He had a great right foot.

And coincidentally he was the one premier League player that could have passed off as Pakistani
