What a beauty. My pops first car was a green 69 Roadrunner then the early 70's oil embargo happened and he sold it cause he couldn't afford the gas prices and got himself this...

His was a more darker blue. I vaguely remember the Datsun but I do remember stuffing the four of us (kids) and couple of cousins in the back going to the beach.

My first car... well you gotta understand the mid 90's in SoCal, and very much San Diego, import street drag racing was very popular and if you had a souped up rice rocket you were the cht. My first car was this...

I drove it stock for two weeks and then built up the engine and suspension lowering it 1.5 inches giving it a somewhat aggressive look to it. I didn't want it to look ridiculous so I left the body alone so in a way my rice rocket was a sleeper car. Thanks to Uncle who worked at Crower Cams my car was really quick and fast and not to boast but I was also a good driver thanks to pops teaching me how to drive stick my early teens.

Illegal street racing in San Diego was at its peak around 97-99. Sorrento Valley is a business district with nothing but corporate buildings and warehouses with long wide empty roads and Saturday nights you easily had 300 cars from all over San Diego County and Orane County.

Lots of music, television shows and movies when it comes to remembering the good old days but what about cartoons? These were the best cartoons when I was growing up.

Tex Avery cartoons were the best.

I didn't know that. She dated jerry brown the governor of California
Stayed tuned for more historical insights. :)

The Ronstadt family was kind of a big name back in the day. Ronstadt's Hardware was the place downtown.

Yeah, she did date Moonbeam at one point. Thought that to be kind of odd at the time.

US State Dept. still has a Level 3 travel advisory for Pakistan with Level 4 issued for Balochistan and KP.

I've been to worse places in the US.

You know it's bad when you have a scheduled trip to ORD and your wife asks if you're taking body armor with you.

Yes, Mrs. AZ actually asked that a few years ago. That was right after I came back from my ATL tour.
