The U.S. tried to position India as its frontline player against China, but that gamble is clearly falling apart. India’s obsession with PR, military bluffing, and regional dominance failed to deliver the strategic results Washington hoped for. Now, seeing Pakistan’s close alignment with China and knowing that China is poised to be the ultimate global power, the West is recalibrating. They're trying to pull Pakistan’s focus away from Beijing by offering soft praise, signals, or ‘engagement.’
Pakistan needs to play this moment with surgical precision. China is our long-term strategic ally, with deep-rooted economic and defense cooperation. But at the same time, maintaining a balanced diplomatic posture with the West without compromising sovereignty or loyalty is smart statecraft.
We don’t need to choose a master. We need to master the art of multipolar diplomacy
