Pakistan Air Force | News & Discussions

I think J-35s should be placed at a dedicated new airbase. PAF should have realized that lack of depth means air bases will have less time to intercept incoming missiles.
A new proper purpose built airbase in central balochistan will be ideal, as any incoming missiles could be tracked over sindh and intercepted.

Bholari was a no brainer...don't know why they built the infrastructure there. Making a base in balochistan will reduce the effective combat range, but aerial refueling can make up for that. Plus stealth jets will need a secure facility. Better if they keep it mum all the way like USA did with B2/F117s

Key takeaways from the interview with AM Arshad Malik (Vice Chief of Staff PAF and ex Chairman PAC Kamra):

- PAF requested for J-20s back in 2010s which were refused at that time, J-35 offered instead

- J-10s were always sought out by PAF

- Chinese engines were the major reasons that kept PAF from pursuing Chinese jets until now

- Unlike J-20 (which needed a lot of time to get matured), J-35 didn’t need much time to get matured thanks to the J-20 experience and J-35 induction in PAF is “RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER”. PAF wants to get the J-35 without the need to make active major modifications (i.e the platform should be fully matured, tested and integrated)

- More J-10Cs are imminent, We are getting them soon

- Interviewer asks about the upgrade to the 76 F-16 fleets to which he replies that the F-16s will be upgraded and will be brought on par with rafale tech. China will have no issues.

- Interestingly, Abraham accords was a major focus during the convo despite its irrelevance with AM Arshad Malik. Pak isn’t interested to sign the accords.

- Israeli missiles tech transfer to India were discussed, We have the capabilities to handle and respond to all the threats.

- Finishing statement, Interviewer asks AM AM about India possessing a unique Rocket fuel that boosts every missile into hypersonic capable to which AM AM gets confused “I don’t know about that”, he replies “Gow muttar (Cow piss)”.

good recap of the interview and thanks for highlighting the main points and tagging me.

re comments on video part 1
Evolution of Drone story of Pakistan

from UAV to UCAV , its evolution cooperation from Italy, Türkiye and China and sourcing from America of technology, components etc.
unmanned drone employment, swarming and datalink

Anti Drone technology and air defence improvement via modernisation and system integration

Pakistan international relations, post Conflict

re video 2

I am confused regarding the Chinese Engineers issue, their country is run by CCP and everyone is the member and complies with what the leadership says, if the leadership doesnt will it, then there will be no Pakistani in China let alone near anything 5th generation tech.

re F-16s all I can say is (America , fool us yet again) shame on us (our airforce high command). as we will fall victim to sanctions and ban on any military / hybrid tech transfer and trade by the American senate/ congress and ITAR extends to even the third parties that provide or use American components. If its up to someone like me , I would go ahead with signing anything which can be completed within a year or 2 at maximum because beyond that Americans have a habit of a U turn on Pakistan and that too with/ or without Indian lobbying.

Within a year or two is the key!

And if ever such deal gets signed, don’t be surprised when IAF puts out a tender for F-35s

Yaar, ever since this guy lost his position with PIA..., he's tried to stay relevant on various Media Outlets as an "expert".

But lets say we believe him. Ab tou ye confirm hogaya hai kay PAF nay J-20 ke darkhuast ke thee, par laal jhandi dikha di thee.

All those who say, "Hum ko tou China say sub kuch mil sakta hai". Ab wo bhee chup laga kay baith-jaey.

For what ? Living on Karachi walon kay taxes?
"Muh Taxes" You don't pay any more tax then I do, I don't live on anybody's taxes, although if you do want to deliver your taxes to me you are more than welcome to do so.
