Feedback: Forum Skin - How do you rate it?

How do you rate the official skin of this forum out of 5?

Please suggest ideas to improve it if any.

I find it fine. Personally, I use the dark theme which is 100 times better than the light one and a nice addition compared to the previous forum.

5 stars from me, as far as the forum theme is concerned.

@Mr X could you open private messages? I'd like to ask you something.

I use the dark skin almost exclusively. Some color contrasts are still a bit off, but it is quite useable in its present form.

The more important thing is the content and moderation, not the cosmetics.

I have not touched the dark skin since I bought it. I liked it until I bought it and never bothered to customise it afterwards.

i am waiting for an upgrade to the forum software after which I will have just one skin in both light and dark versions. The other skins will be removed. I will either customise the dark version of the official skin we have right now or completely a different layout depending on the complexity of the new software.

I am a big fan of PDF light!!! thanks for creating it - very useable on a computer when reading/following text. Thanks for the work in bringing the forum up to spec. Feels like home again.

I would say the text written by posters could be 1pt smaller? Seems oversized to me ? It is subjective of course.

I can no longer edit my posts. Often times, I'm multitasking and not able to read or correct mistakes in the original post. I used to be able to do that for a limited period of time.

I am in favor of extending the time for the "edit button" to 3 days, just like on the previous forum. There was no issue on the previous forum, so I don't see why there would be one now. Especially in topics where events unfold in real-time and can be updated on the first page.

@X While we're on this topic...is it possible to add the "My threads" button alongside the other tabs on the front page, just like it was possible on the previous forum? It's inconvenient now if you want to bump an older topic/thread you have to search for it for quite some time to find it, especially if you don't remember the original thread title. On the previous forum, there was a tab "my threads" and you could quickly find your older threads. I'm referring to this:



I have one more question: is it possible to add "streamable" as a media option? Does the forum support this media? Streamable allows you to post specific segments of YouTube video and turn them into clips.

My Threads option is from a different add-on of this software so we will need to do structural changes to add that option. I will try to find a seperate solution for my Threads and add it soon.

Appreciate you big homie. Yeah, it's better to try everything out after the software upgrade, no rush. Streamable could be a gamechanger because you can post important clips from a long video and not everyone has time to watch the whole thing. I'd be really grateful if you added it to the forum. I see there are quite a few media options that hardly anyone uses like Pinterest for example. Maybe you can replace Pinterest with Streamable.

Anyway, whenever you have time and after the forum upgrade...
