Whatever

"IMHO the next Pakistan Government should, in the best national interest of Pakistan seek good relations with Pakistan's own citizens first rather then worry about India."

@Hmmmm but of course, but it has to be the first order of foreign policy, your immediate neighborhood.

Modi, since he assumed office, has been focused on:

Pak (Noora family wedding informal visit)

BD, Nepal (state visits both ways)

Bhutan (King Wangchuk chief guest at our R day)

Lanka (state visit and aid)

China (hosted Xi in grand and went as state guest.. lol, those terracota warrior pics).. things have since soured

latest lafda Maldives..

IK ji ki galti.. went a bit overboard with his anti-America, anti-India rhetoric, usko diplomacy ni aati bilkul, like zero.. 100% emotions fueled banda hai, very lacking tact.

I don't think you understood what I'm trying to say. Let me explain in a bit detail;
PMLN, The party which intends to lead the coalition Govt, has only managed to "clinch" 75 of the 265 seats. According to solid irrefutable evidence in the form of form 45s issued by the ROs to the polling agents, a majority of PMLN's seats were stolen from Khan's candidates.

In any country with a functional Judiciary, these results would be overturned immediately & the election commissioner would be thrown in a Jail. Alas, this is Pakistan.

So now, you want an illegitimate govt, already facing the wrath of its citizens for stealing the mandate & ruining the economy, to further hammer another nail in its coffin by normalising ties with India.

This would neither be good for this govt nor for India.

unproven

What on earth is "illegitimate" about a coalition government ?

Unstable, perhaps not the most robust of allies, sure.

why would normalizing ties with us be a 'nail in the coffin', itni kya nafrat hai ? and said nafrat ka koi fayda bhi nahi !

an exercise in nailing your own coffin, if anything.

This would neither be good for this govt nor for India.
Our general elections are almost upon us, Modi is all but guaranteed a thumping mandate again. I think you'll see, going forward into polling dates, that Pakistan barely figures in his campaign rhetoric this time around. He's just built that promised mandir, that in itself is waay more than enough for him to cruise to victory.

Masterstroke, that, the timing of the Mandir.. Rahul GandhiJi would like nothing more than to attack it all guns blazing but even for a low iq nepo baby like him, he knows it'll backfire and they may go well below 50.

proper catch 22/asmanjas/conundrum/damned if you do, damned it you dont/rock and hard place etc

they're going to get a walloping of historic proportions this time around, can't wait !

----------------

finally, wrt Pakistan, we'll have to deal with whoever it is, we've known forever where real authority lies.

and that is the Pak Fauj.

lol ye banda mast hai, don't miss his India series.. I might've posted the odd vid in the India Travel Thread too.

its a coming of age thing, I think. Amrika m ek kahavat ni hai, goes something like:

"if you're not a liberal when you're a teen .. you have no heart, if you're not conservative as an adult, you have no brain"

Software update ni hai, ji.. full of the hardware upgrade hai, in Kashmir.. kitna sahi kaam kia hai BJP, they'll come back begging sooner rather than later, the PDP etc

more tourism, less that other t-ism

sahi challa scene, tichh.. but of course, volatile sa scene hai.. gotta keep our guard up, always.

 In my experience, coming of age happens for 50-70 years olds. This is too young, only a software update can do that. There is something, Shah Faesal and Shehla Rashid both changed consecutively. The dude went back to his service which is almost impossible once you resign after criticising the government. Like Kannan Gopinathan or something, Mallu guy hard core commie, tried to be a revolutionary in the wrong service.

self realization, moksh, nirvana, enlightenment type chal ra hai, chalne do.. I'm waiting with a plate of butter chicken for Kunal Kamra for when he joins.

bhix pta ni kaha hai, hope he's still gorging on those anda parathas with mint chutney.

reads like a book, this:

excerpt:
_____________________________________

Immured in his prison cell, Pakistani politician Imran Khan could scarcely have hoped for a better result. Just days before the country’s Feb. 8 election, the cricket legend-turned-populist politician was sentenced to more than a decade behind bars in three trumped-up cases. His party was stripped of its signature cricket bat symbol by the Election Commission, denying voters the chance to identify the party on ballot papers—a critical aspect of voting in a country where 40 percent of people are illiterate—and forcing its candidates to run as independents. Its members were beaten, imprisoned, and driven into rival parties or out of politics altogether.

On polling day, cell phone signals vanished, and internet access was choked. After the votes were cast, there were widespread allegations that many were stolen overnight, reversing unassailable leads. And yet, despite every effort to thwart them, Khan’s supporters recorded the highest number of votes and clinched the largest number of seats.

Independent candidates affiliated with Khan’s party, who took 93 out of a total of 295 national seats and won one province outright, were denied the majority that they insist they won and may be excluded from government, but the vote represents a momentous development. A new generation of voters has emerged—concentrated in Pakistan’s heaving towns and cities—who now demand a break with history. These voters want to have the power to choose their own leaders, not leave the country in the hands of the powerful military that has maintained a granitic grip on politics for most of its history.

When Khan fell out with the generals that brought him to power and was ousted from office in April 2022, his young supporters mounted vast, sometimes violent protests. Despite a vicious crackdown over the next two years, they persevered and demonstrated their defiance in the only way left to them: through a peaceful, democratic vote.

@DarthVader That Chinese bootlicker mod muted me on that thread despite me providing damning evidence that the Chinese guy was trolling.

So I'm replying here to your reply to my post.

In multiple theoretical wargames conducted by the US, China and Taiwan lost heavily. China will obviously lose a lot more since US and its allies are bound to jump in within a week or two (maybe more) of the start of the conflict.

China will be weakened fighting Taiwan and it won't be able to stand against multiple opponents. Simple as that.

China has disputes with nearly all it's neighbors, land or water ones.

No one will slide from the chance of hitting a weakened China.
