You might remember these traditional marquees that were once a common sight in our neighborhoods.

Up until the 1990s, it was quite normal to set them up right outside the house for weddings and other family events. They brought a unique charm to the celebrations — simple, cozy, and filled with the warmth of close-knit gatherings. Many of us have either attended weddings under these canopies or perhaps even had our own special day celebrated in one.

It’s a nostalgic reminder of how community celebrations used to be — right at our doorstep.
