Z-10 ME/P deliveries Updates: Pakistan Army Aviation.

Will not happen. Since 2024 Pakistan has been very secrative with there army equipments. Not even small upgrade or update is shared directly.
They are big ticket purchases and would be pretty difficult to actively hide when they are flying above during ops, so no real reason to hide them.

These birds should have a 'secondary' air to air role against drones. Indian drones and loitering munitions during the recent conflict were a real nuisance, and these helis can come in handy, especially when we don't want to give away our GBADs locations.....

Looking into it, less than 10 seem to have been delivered, around 4 to 8.

hey, it's a start, and even 4 will help boost Pakistan's anti-terror operations vastly.

It'll also finally help start retiring Pakistan's old and obsolete cobra-fleet.

These won't be used in anti-terror ops. Cobras are being used for those with MI's.

Interesting that they got them without the MMW radar mast ( MMW mast is the sort of thing you don't take on/off a lot - i.e. more of a set it and leave it ).

Wonder why they decided to purchase it without the radar.

And Cobras are old as shit.

These were being bought precisely to replace the cobras.

Originally, the AH-1Z was supposed to replace them, until the Obama era sanctions hit, and Pakistani Zulus were no longer allowed to be transferred (despite efforts from the US Navy's campaigning, surprisingly).

Then the T-129s from Turkiye were blocked by the USA, due to the engine being American.

These will be used, and there are already reports that they may have already been used in Bajaur against terrorists.

The Z-10ME2s are configured for conventional anti-armour ops. There's some significant ECM and long-range strike (via miniature cruise missiles) capabilities on this aircraft.

In addition to the sand/particulate filtration, reinforced armour, and upgraded engines, it's pretty clear the PAA asked for this Z-10 configuration to substitute the AH-1Z which, while couched in COIN/CT terms, was really meant for anti-armour ops.

The COIN/CT role was going to the T129, which was evaluated for its endurance and hot-and-high capability, notably in Balochistan and Northern Areas. That's why I'd still keep an eye on this front, be it via an ITAR-free ATAK (with TEI TS1400) or Chinese Z-19.

Could be a number of reasons, but Cost is certainly a consideration. Getting 20-40 machines delivered and active and then buying support packages for them later makes more sense than buying fewer but getting all the Add-ons. We saw a similar situation with VT-4 and it’s APS systems.

this isnt true.

The mmw is designed to be modular.

Remember,, you will never have a 100% mission ready fleet. It does not make sense to purchase 40 MMW for a fleet of 40.

Rather, assuming a 75% MC rate, youd buy 30 instead, knowing 25% of airframes will be out of action at any one time.

These radars likely take 30mins tops to fit anyway.

There is no 1:1 relationship with Longbow MMw and AH-64D(or Es) either.

They are attached and flown on as needed basis. Not every mission requires it so why buy as many?
Same reason number of ALQ-211s isn’t the same as airframes.

Cobras are being used for ops against these terror outfits combined with MI-28's we got and older MI-17's for transport. Heli history can't change the PA's operational doctrine.

Z-10's are brought in to destroy Indian army's armored columns during a war and to establish deterrence on lower atmosphere.

When one uses sh*t and other slangs, and has overseas flags, to the educated world it seems as the person didn't get proper education. Because whether white, blue or black, that language belongs to uneducated or low educated bracket. I can also say "so what if Cobra's are old as f*ck?". Did this make me look like a gora or cool? No, it made me look like I never took proper English classes.
