Z-10 ME/P deliveries Updates: Pakistan Army Aviation.

More of a liability now to maintain. It would be great if the US sold them at a knockdown price to Pakistan.

If these AH-1Zs still in storage, not sold or handed over to any other country.. they no good to US as well...

So Might be possible now, as trump want established the relationship and business with Pakistan..

Asia-Pacific

Pakistan has begun accepting Z-10ME attack helicopters from China as part of Islamabad’s tactical rotary-wing fleet modernization effort. The deliveries have not been officially confirmed by either country but have been verified through multiple sources, including images and videos showing the Chinese-made aircraft bearing Pakistan Army insignia.

What happened to 8 or 9 AH-1Zs Pakistan vipers put on storage?
Information from web is .. that's they still in storage.. not handed over to any other party ..

The AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters ordered by Pakistan are still located at the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona..

These helicopters, part of a 2016 contract, were not delivered due to a suspension of US security assistance to Pakistan. A total of nine are stored there, while three others are in an unknown location.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • Contract and Order:
Pakistan ordered 12 AH-1Z Viper helicopters from the US in 2016.

  • Storage Location:
The helicopters are stored at AMARG, also known as the "boneyard," at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, Arizona.

  • Reasons for Non-Delivery:
The US halted security assistance to Pakistan in 2018, leading to the suspension of helicopter deliveries.

  • Current Status:
As of 2019, all nine Vipers at AMARG were being preserved with protective coatings.

  • Additional Helicopters:
Three more AH-1Zs, part of the original order, are in an unconfirmed location,

These will be transferred to US Marines in a time of need. That's the beauty of US military from a planning perspective. These are kept in "active reserves" meaning close to new or less than half life used functional equipment, ready to be used in a war.

The embargoed Pakistani F-16's and near 2000 4th and 4.5 generation jets are kept in this category for a WWIII scenario.

Lastly, Pakistan doesn't want to pay even 75% of the price and get into "strings". That money is much better spent on Z-10's and later on some numbers of Z-21's or ATAK's to offset the Apache's. With Z-10, we will truly get an opportunity to create a helo industry in Pakistan like we did with the J-10. In a few years, China will not need them and its manufacturing can be transferred to Pakistan for affordable price.

If we want to establish a helicopter industry then much better to establish something with the Turks, we are going to need replacements for 70-80 helicopters in the near future between the army and navy this a perfect opportunity to negotiate local production.
