The EU and US are exposing themselves as unreliable actors
”Through these threats and measures, the West is planting a time bomb under its own relations with India, deliberately demonstrating its unreliability,” he said. “The threats coming from the US certainly do not inspire trust... They only further highlight the unreliability of the US as a partner.”
its reliance on Moscow for oil and gas means its foreign policy decisions will ultimately hinge on energy security.
India, the world’s third-largest oil consumer, imports around 80% of its energy and has never taken part in the Western sanctions on its top supplier, Russia.
Your 'socialism' has set you back. Yes, you are far ahead of Pakistan in economy but you still punch way below your potentials. Ask @SoulSpokesman about your 'socialism' up to 1990. And you picked the losing side during the Cold War while Pakistan gained immensely by siding with the Americans.
Anyway, this is not the right thread for that discussion. Plus, I don't like repeating myself too much in general in this forum.
Actually no. India is big enough and important enough to resist being bullied into this or that camp. Before BJP, India's non aligned policy and getting benefit from all quarters was the one thing many Pakistani policymakers admired.
Trump is throwing tantrums because Canada, China and India are pushing back against his trade based bullying. TACO.
It's only a matter of time before other countries start doing the same.
If it's either Brics or QUAD. It's BRICS. The QUAD needs India more than India needs the QUAD. More over we are a Junior partner in that group.
My personal preference is to stand with the Global South. The west can decide.
India will not show any loyalty to others. Neither there was duplicity before nor now.
Hope Americans realize that.
Rather than calling unreliable partners, i call the west and USA as selfish players in this game who will sacrifice or ditch anyone.
We shouldn't blame any one. likewise, we should be ready for anything.
Russia is a part of our energy security. Can't risk it for west/USA
That is why India is not trusted by either BRICS nor QUAD. It stood defeated and friendless after Kashmir clash and now Trump is mocking India daily.
We always pick a side, its India.

The poverty levels in India are still GIGANTIC. Indian economic growth hasn't benefitted Indian poverty reduction as it should have. That is partly because India is a caste based society. Every country has
If Pakistan has ten slums. India has at least a thousand. That comes with size and population. India is wildly overpopulated and disorganised. China is in a different league when it comes to organising. Not even a contest.
The data begs to differ in terms of India benefiting from its policies. But I'm sorry, you need to remove your Indian hate to think objectively. You don't have much ground to stand on.
Again, as you allowed in your second paragraph, the size of India magnifies its interior, but when you scale Pakistan up or India down, Pakistan comes out worse, and that's based on data provided by Pakistan and compared to World Bank and other sources' data.
