Ramirez made the comment about being a proud Guatemalan while speaking in Spanish at a summit in Mexico City over the weekend.

A clip of her speaking went viral on social media, sparking backlash from Republicans and conservative commentators, some of whom called for her to be deported or removed from Congress.

There will be a news conference this afternoon on the Fort Stewart shooting, according to a media release.

Brig. Gen. John Lubas, the 3rd Infantry Division and Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield commander, will be speaking to reporters at the base at 3:30 p.m. ET, the release noted.

In a few minutes.

All we know is the shooter is a 28 year old Sargent who was arrested for a DUI back in May.

Three senior law enforcement officials briefed on the matter told NBC News that the person who allegedly opened fire at Fort Stewart in Georgia this morning is Quornelius Radford.

The alleged shooter has prior ties to Florida, the officials said.

‘Palinesque’ Stories About Kamala Harris the Biden Team Is Poised To Leak if She Attacks Him in New Book

Some are hard to believe, but our fact-checkers confirmed they are 100% true

(My gosh these stories are great!)

2) On more than one occasion, Secret Service agents found Harris passed out at the Resolute Desk after breaking into the Oval Office with a case of chardonnay she pilfered from the White House commissary. She would often bring members of her staff and force them to pose as cabinet members while she pretended to "invade Yugoslavia." Acting president Jill Biden had to diffuse a diplomatic crisis after Harris snuck into the Situation Room to watch Kung Fu Panda 4 before calling the Chinese ambassador to complain about the lack of diversity.

6) The VP cornered Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg during a drunken rampage at a holiday party and pitched her idea to "inject more love" into government services by requiring TSA agents to offer hugs or body-positive compliments to travelers before security screenings. "The people need to be reminded of their power," she reportedly slurred.

8) In late 2021, Harris launched a task force to help her appear more normal by adopting a pet. "Operation Wholesome Household" eventually narrowed down the candidates to several female cats, and proposed naming it "Ruth Bader Gins-Purr" or "Meowdam Vice President." Harris agonized over the decision for weeks before disbanding the task force and impulsively buying a "Klutzy Kitty" wine bottle holder on Amazon for $31.95.

9) Aides had to talk Harris out of filming a Beyoncé-themed TikTok video in Arlington National Cemetery to celebrate Memorial Day using the hashtag #SlayForTheSlain.

President Donald Trump on Thursday demanded the resignation of Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan following reports and allegations that he has ties to China.

“The CEO of INTEL is highly CONFLICTED and must resign, immediately. There is no other solution to this problem. Thank you for your attention to this problem!” Trump posted on Truth Social.

The call comes just days after Arkansas Republican Sen. Tom Cotton raised concerns and pressed the chair of Intel’s board over the CEO’s alleged connections to China, questioning the integrity of the company and its impact on US national security.

In a letter earlier this week to Intel board Chair Frank Yeary, Cotton pointed to recent reporting on Tan’s Chinese investments. Reuters in April reported that Tan has personally and through various venture funds invested in hundreds of Chinese companies, some of which have ties to the country’s military.

“The new CEO of @intel reportedly has deep ties to the Chinese Communists. U.S. companies who receive government grants should be responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars and adhere to strict security regulations. The board of @Intel owes Congress an explanation,” Cotton wrote in a post on X, attaching the letter.
