I mean INS Vikramaditya played a vital role during Bangladesh liberation.Indian ocean is huge that's why.
I agree with Hurjet it will not be capable enough to use as a fighter however things change when its about Kaan.
Please watch this, according to Dr. Eray Güçlüer Kaan will be devellopped in 3 variants including VTOL.
My mistake i meant TFXSingle engine Naval aircraft ?? If no, will it even be a hurjet derivative.
Yeah but they’re connected Wankers so i think he knows what he is saying, his sources are legit.wankers if you ask me,
it's a huge accomplishment if we can get Kaan fully operational and produced in meaningful numbers.
Turkey never having any experience with naval aircraft let alone fucking VTOL making a VTOL version of Kaan will never be feasible. If we make a carrier capable 5th gen fighter it will be well into 2040ies and talking about it now is meaningless.
Just empty words spoken on a pro-establishment propaganda channel.
I promise you %1000 there's no work on VTOL Kaan and ther will never be.Yeah but they’re connected Wankers so i think he knows what he is saying, his sources are legit.

Turkiye 100% needs Aircraft Carrier
Why ?
Because , Turkiye becomes global power again in the next 10-15 years
with over $2 trillion of GDP
with its own defense industry full of self sufficiency
with military Bases in Qatar , Somalia , Libya , etc
This Aircraft Carrier is for the vision of the next 10-15 years , according to its 2015 strategic outlook statement
1-- Turkiye views as its maritime periphery, such as Cyprus, Libya, Qatar, and the Black Sea
2-- The most ambitious forum for Turkiye’s proactive security policies lies on the Horn of Africa
For the last decade, private Turkish interests have helped bolster growing military and commercial ties with the governments of Djibouti, Sudan, and Somalia
3-- Protecting Turkİiyes trade and energy interests has also exercised an increasingly strong influence over its current strategic planning
because with more than 87% of Turkiye’s trade conducted via maritime ports of entry, and a number of transnational pipelines passing through Turkish territorial waters
The Turkish Navy aims at becoming a major global force by 2033
for example
to protect Turkish military Bases in strategic allies such as Qatar , Somalia and Libya
1-- France many times threatened Turkiye to send its Aircraft Carrier to the Eastern Mediterranean
2-- Gulf States threated Qatar to close Turkish military Base
3-- Multi national alliance attacked Libyan goverment in Tripoli to make a coup to destroy releationship between Turkiye and Libya
without Carrier Strike Group , Turkiye can not protect national interests in the Eastern Mediterranean , Libya , Qatar , Somalia and the Horn of Africa
Even S.Korea owns 3 Carriers with F-35s
İndia owns 2 Carriers
Why not Turkiye which has great interest and influence area from Adriatic to İndian Ocean
Turkish Government and Armed Forces very well knows what about Power Projection
and without Aircraft Carrier .. Turkish Navy is a lame Duck

It reminds me of the Queen Elizabeth class carriers. similar tonnage as well with 60,000 tonnage. Bigger than I expected. Its interesting that they chose STOBAR, instead of a catapult which we see in similar carriers of that size.
