Govt presses China on Gwadar plan

@FarhanSiddiqui

Is it feasible for residential colonies to set up up their own water treatment plants during seawater and cheap solar power?

The fraudster are selling you desert land at high prices then asking you to build all the infrastructure ? Like water, gas, electricity, sewage, roads, schools, hospitals. The whole concept is that you give them money and then forget about it.

lol, Taliban and TTP don't believe in democracy too, if they can forcefully take over the country then we should start supporting them?
Support them if you want to, who has stopped you from doing so? Support the Taliban to your hearts content

oh no no no, its not me who will support them, its people like you who worship the rising sun. TTP will have no problem finding supporters like you who don't believe in "democracy" and human rights.

@Watandar

Gwadar has no power or water. China is disappointed in CPEC and the limited capacity of Pakistani state.

Once Balochistan starts mining the billions of dollars of minerals that my friend Raja Babu (@RajaBaja) keeps speaking about, this issue could be sorted out. The revenues could be deployed in setting up the missing infra.

Regards

We have a part of our population who look at the Crow and say "crow is white" when it's always black. So the above about Gwadar is that same mindset. Its like Modi and Hindutva, he thinks India is a Vashwa Guru, when it's not. Well, no one can argue with logic because it's in his head.

Now since you added me to the post, write down 2028. That's the year I'm giving you as target for our economic jump. I hope it happens before that. Hopefully Modi won't start a full scale war before that, or, world won't deal with something major that can impact markets.

@RajaBaja

Raja Babu,

Hopefully Modi won't start a full scale war before that,

If indeed it is true that PAK had drubbed IND in the Sindoor War, Modi won't start a war anytime soon.

@Muji.Iqbal

Muji sb,

The Gwadar Port is already up and running! How can the Chinese build something which is already built?

Regards

As for the CPEC as a whole, the Chinese government will not terminate or cancel it. However, it is currently subject to significant restrictions.
Analyzing numerous official reports, the Chinese government is taking numerous actions to reduce the functionality of CPEC (by opening more channels to reduce its effectiveness).

In the original CPEC plan, the Chinese government did intend to develop Gwadar into a core node city along the CPEC trade corridor. However, due to certain unforeseen circumstances, they were forced to adjust the plan.

My observation:

During the current Pakistani government (Public government and shadow government):
1. China will not launch any new major long-term investment projects;
2. Already launched major long-term investment projects will be adjusted based on actual conditions. Some will be suspended, while others will continue;
3. Small and medium-sized projects and asset-light projects will not be affected.
There are slight differences between private and state-owned enterprise projects, but the general direction is essentially the same.

I have no intention of interfering in Pakistan's internal affairs, nor do I intend to intervene in the struggles between Pakistan's various political factions. However, China-Pakistan relations are indeed experiencing a continuous decline. This change has absolutely nothing to do with India. This is a matter between China and Pakistan.

I have the same observation. My reasons could be different but I think China-Pak relations are declined especially in last 4-5 yrs. The abrupt changes in policies and current setup's US appeasement policy are main factors.

I suspect many people may not be aware of this situation.

As of now, the alert issued by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not been canceled.
1. Red Alert(Extremely Dangerous Area): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan (excluding Chagai District).
2. Orange Alert(Dangerous Area): Entire territory of Pakistan (excluding the aforementioned red alert areas).

Anyone with a little common sense should know what red alert and orange alert mean.
The original text of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: "If Chinese citizens still insist on traveling to the above-mentioned areas after the alert is issued, they may face extremely high security risks and their assistance will be seriously affected. The costs of assistance will be borne by the individuals themselves."

In this case, it makes no sense to talk about large-scale commercial cooperation between China and Pakistan.
