From personal experiance though, sometimes we have to give benefit of the doubt, if he came from a landed family (and I do not know his family history),, there is nothing wrong with living a good life. Not defending him here,, just arguing that not all wealth is due to shady practices

Not a single fighter was grounded.
IAF takes time to analyse the situation (they made an error underestimating the Pakistan reaction) and the 2nd phase of operation was more successfull, with nearly no air opposition from PAF.

So tell us Mr Le Frog Patil, what exact situation did arise that took IAF Two days to analyse and what exactly was Pakistan reaction or rather how effective was the Pakistani response which IAF underestimated !!
I mean on one side, you people are awarding your pilots for carrying out successful mission and claiming that all pilots returned safely, while on the other hand you inadvertently admit that Pakistani response punched the air out of you so much that it took you two days to recover.

Totally agreed, he laid much of the foundations and was insiprational, but to carry that on also takes good leadership. I dont think there is a shortage of credit to be disrtibuted here

Although the man reportedly was a bit self centred but he did put in a lot of hard work and more professionalism into the PAF. But Mujaid Anwar Khan and the current Airchief maintained this legacy and kept the flag flying high .
