HAL LCA Tejas: Updates, News & Discussions

You are just assuming it! Thanks
I am not assuming rather going by Indian govt. actions both after 2019 Indian air attack as well as this time. Your officials are the first to call for 'de-escalation', and they look so petrified knowing they have stirred Pakistan armed forces. This time, they went so far as to abstain from attacking military targets assuming Pakistan would take civilian casualties lying down and not counter. 😁🤣😁

there are enough threads to discuss air war. Spare this one. @Fatman17

Read my full post. On paper HAL has the capacity to make 36 MK1A ( 24 In Bangalore and 12 in Nasik) per year. How may they will actually make is a different thing all together. Also the GE won't supply more than 2 Engines per month for quite some time. So that's another choke point.
I thought it was one per month, that also starting from the end of this year, which could technically translate to the start of 2026(?)

Most of the money ( except Engine+ radar and some parts) will go back to GOI.
Really? How? Do you have a cost breakdown of the jet?
AFAIK most of the parts are sourced from private firms. GOI will have to pay them. Then GOI will have to pay salaries of the HAL staff + overheads.

I don't see how "MOST" of the money will go back to GOI.

Govt will get back around 11,600 Cr out of 63,000 Cr in GST alone. ( If we calculate at the flat rate of 18%).
HAL paid approximately ₹1,915.85 crore in dividends to the Government of India for the financial year 2024-25.

The finish on the Tejas looks excellent
Pity it's decade too late
We should have deliveref 160 by now and rolling out first of 160 Tejas mark two bynow and flight testing five prototypes of Amca already
