India - US Tariff and Relations | News + Updates

@r3alist bro

If all they do is act as a vehicle to bring over people from India to USA, then according to maga yes.

Why are they doing so? These are large companies, all white owned, right?

Regards

@r3alist bro

Agreed. Geopolitics isn't our cup of tea. It is yours. With all its consequences!

Regards
Well that's the thing, if you want to be consequential then you have to accept there will be consequences

India has the ingredients, it just doesn't have the mentality, nothing like the Russians, who have once again sacrificed tremendously and within a generation will be back

I won't say anything too nice about Pakistan here, not to derail the thread

@r3alist

I can't answer for my government or for my countrymen. But I would much rather that IND be of no consequence. Let's focus on the rozi roti issues of my 1.4 billion countrymen.

You guys are the martial race. You chase greatness.

Regards

Yeah dream on.

Trump forced India to stop buying Iranian oil. But this time Trump want India to buy F-35 and not SU-57. Back then Trump admin forced India in private but now they are doing it in public.

The problem is do Indians have stomach to bear wrath of USA economic sanctions? I dont think so. The baniya will force regime change before that happens. Or Modi will surrender to USA.

All Trump is asking for is nomination for nobel and giving him credit for ceasefire. Stop living in delulu vishwaguru world and come back to slumdog reality. India sham vishwaguru status has been exposed anyway in operation tandoor.

Gamed GDP numbers are not impressing investors. Foreigners have pulled out $15bn this year and $4bn just in august.

Hydra bro,

All Trump is asking for is nomination for nobel

Why does he want that? Hasn't Field Marshall AMW the (alleged) victor of the Sindoor War already awarded DT the Nobel?

Regards

At the time of the nomination, I remember saying that this was an l interesting, low-risk, slightly quirky and potentially useful diplomatic move

According to the Indian media, this explains everything on trump's attitude to India

MAGA can make all the noises they want they are not known to be particularly smart anyway. But it's a losers game. American corporations need those H1Bs to fill the gap in certain sectors. They hire H1B not because it's cheap, H1B hiring is rather expensive for the companies and it's by design.
Only half of the H1Bs are hired in tech, the doctors and other services take the next half. Its not just Indian, the second largest are the Chinese.

You ever take a look at the AI teams of companies like XAi of Elon, who do you think is the engineer behind this whole Dall-E text to image of open AI, or even GPT-4o is?
Makes me wonder why Open AI is setting up it's office in India.

If they are expensive then I suppose maga have a valid point, why do you need so many
If you're now going to say that the average mid to upper Indian graduate is superior to the average mid yo upper American graduate....

I mean ultimately it is eventually going to sound arrogant to insist someone in India has a right to something in America

Only half of the H1Bs are hired in tech
And that half is completely dominated by one country
Its not just Indian, the second largest are the Chinese
By what distance.

Indians actually really supported maga

Iran oil wasnt major chunk at the time so weaning off of it was easier. There was other equations at play at that time so India didn't have much to lose. Especially considering how we lost the gas deal in Iran. But India is not buying F35 without ToT.
Trump forced India to not buy S400 as well. But India bought S400, you guys were hoping and praying for CAATSA sanction. But to your dismay they simply hold off on it.

The Americans are not doing us a favor by buying from us. American corporations operate in India and make billions. Largest corporations that sell things online, one of their largest markets are in India. Do you think Walmart which spend $16 billion acquiring an Indian company is just going to say, "oh yeah sorry guys the sanctions are in place, we are going bye bye". We will say "Thank you for your attention to this matter you can divest at paltry rate and leave". No. There is Google, Amazon, small and big US firms, Apple, every major American tech corporation be it having their GCC in India spending billions in investment hiring people just to pack up and leave?

No. But this entire cope and pray was fun to watch. India is not opening it's milk sector. At best they can get some goodies like Soya bean imports and we divert our import from Brazil to the US. Or we divert some oil shipments from Middle East to the US. But that'll be it. You can choke on that as some victory.

@r3alist bro

Absolutely! Indians don't have the right to anything in USA. The only ones who have any rights in this matter are American corporates-to hire whomsoever they deem fit.

Because of the gap? You need an Engineer say who has experience and have papers in Convoluted Neural Network. You look in the US find 5 people but unfortunately they are all hired by an X, y, z, a,b companies. What do you do? Look for talents outside the US. It has nothing to do with superiority or inferiority. That's low IQ thinking. It's about supply and demand.
And that half is completely dominated by one country
Yes and most of the H1Bs are hired by top tech companies. Google, Apple, Microsoft, Wallmart, Target even.
By what distance.

You have been talking about H1Bs for pages after pages but you don't know what their numbers are? Look it up man.
