If you look at that organization—the size of its population and the share of global GDP it represents—a rational Iranian government would be working around the clock to cultivate relationships and present Iran as a responsible global partner capable of bilateral trade and business. Instead, Iran has virtually no meaningful engagement with the West, aside from embezzled funds being stashed in Western banks.
