then they have a better alternative right?

The PL-15E that shot down the Rafale was produced in 2015. The PL-15 has been in mass production for at least 10 years and should indeed have been discontinued.

As for its successor, the PL-16, that remains a military secret.

And it proves that US intelligence about PL-15 all those years ago was spot on when it was declared a threat to USAF/USN fighters triggering programs like AIM-260.

By the time the Americans viewed the PL-15 as a threat, it had already been deployed on a large scale by the PLAAF. If the CIA didn't even know about the PLAAF's extensive use of this type of equipment, it would be a serious dereliction of duty, the US Congress might as well give the funds to Deino.

Which they should, if you looks at the latest comment from their Pacific fleet airforce cheif, he said the appearance of Chinese CCA drone like American YQF-42 are no threat, he made such comment from the leaked pic a day before the parade, so he doesn't seems to know anything about the autonomous unmanned fighter jet going to be partner with sixth gen manned fighter, I hope he is just saying it for the domestic audience, otherwise their intelligence is in some deepshit.

He knows it's a threat. We also know he knows it's a threat. He knows we know he knows it's a threat.

He just wants American netizens not to know it's a threat.

He made that comment based on the two little loyal wingman drone, so I doubt if he knows about these two.

One thing is for sure after 2025 Pak Ind conflict, the west and India deep down will no longer view Chinese military tech as just a bluff.

Pakistan should have such type of UCAV ready to be deployed from highways. Incase of full scale war after rumways are knocked out, pakistan should have something in air to knock out indian air land and sea targets.

India's upcoming purchase of the Su-57 means it has abandoned short-term strategic thinking that favors military adventures. Pakistan should use this window of peace to focus on social and economic reforms and prepare for long-term strategic competition.

Nope - most of our bases would still come in their firing range - they have alot of depth in their territory. We'd strike their western bases and key targets close to border. But we'll have to rely on missiles to strike farther deep.

Air launched weapons are more difficult to intercept than the surface launched.
The only things I can think of are missile-carrying UCAVs or VERY long range SAMs.
