They have been primed for a moment like this, by years of indoctrination. They way things are going, especially after seeing what happened to the South Koreans in Georgia, there might be an exodus of minorities (ethnic, political, cultural, etc.) from states like Utah, and if companies see a loss of critical talent, they may be forced to move out of some of these states as well.
Most did not riot during those protests, but of those that did, criminality (to riot and loot) was the motive not political action. With all three branches of the federal government in the hands of the right wing or leaning right, why would those on the right riot. They are in charge, and have the power to change things through the state.
