You watch too many movies. You won't last five minutes against a trained soldier, let alone an invading force that has already overrun your military. While fantasizing this possible future scenario, you'll have innocent people killed, in peace time today, at the hands of those who should've never had access to a gun.
Whether you have a gun or not, the welcome mat will be there.
The French resistance was predominantly unarmed and performed mostly low level sabotage and reconnaissance. The majority of its ops were performed after June 1944 when the Germans had already started losing their grip. It also looted and attacked innocent French, such as the Tobacconists. It was supported and supplied by foreign military powers and did not fight with household weapons. Even then, after you've sifted through the Gaullist's romanticization/propaganda, it did not achieve anything of note. Le Chagrin et la Pitié is a good watch on the subject.
Best instead you save the kids that are today than what you will not achieve in a hypothetical future.
