If Indian electronic warfare and electronic defence were intact, you would not have lost Rafales. These jets themselves have a highly capable ED/EW suite known as SPECTRA.

It is almost certain that PAF would have jammed it somehow, so you may dismiss Pakistani claims at your peril.

I imagine that while you are here barking, the IAF probably has learned harsh lessons from May's encounter. Then again, one hopes they haven't!

Some french sources said it succeed dodging most of the PL15 fired, this is why some were found intact in the ground.

And no, India has not the sole choice of purchasing Rafale. F21, SH18, EF2000, Su35, Mig35, Gripen E are viable options. USA made hard pressure to sell one of its birds.

The reason why India is chosing Rafales is because it has no other choice. And Modi government is more interested in french kickbacks then whats good for them.
Btw, show us picture of INTACT PL15 missile. Note, that 1 recovered PL15 with missing warhead and seeker means it was recovered from Rafale’s gaand.

The same was the wreckage of something as large as Su-30 MKI was "hidden" along with 3-4 Rafales.

Whatever it was, it was burning violently which wouldn't likely happen if it crashed in the open and exploded. And would be launched if it gets the target in it's range. Who knows.

Your underlined parts only prove that both SPECTRA and METEOR are over hyped.....and while Americans rapidly released funds to fast tracked AIM 260 development and just yesterday Raytheon confirmed the AIM120 got longest AMRAAM kill ever, they haven't yet quoted the range at which it took the kill in testing, but it was due to improved software and guidance algorithms. So USAF is taking it very seriously because a proper 150KM+ BVR kill is now proven beyond doubt (thanks to PAF outsmarting bhindians). Meteor will again be subject to delays and production issues, so even with new Rafales, IAF is pretty much f***ed for the short term.

i can only imagine that newer PL15 versions would have been software optimized as well for beyond 200km range.

Only if Pakistan as a whole could show as much competency as PAF did in recent years.........just boggles my mind everytime.

AIM-120 F3R (aim-120D-3) (a software upgrade giving even longer range of approx. 185km)

The IAF dilemma is huge when it comes to air to air combat.

They probably succeeded in launching air to ground payloads that successfully hit targets at standoff range. We'll give them that.

However, how do they begin to learn from their air to air bloodbath? It's not as if they managed to do one thing well and can build on those tactics, or managed to take out one of our planes so can ask themselveshow can we do more of the same....NOTHING worked, NOTHING went well.

the Indian CDS has admitted the jets lost. Americans and French also acknowledged the losses of the Indian jets and the pictures/ videos of jets wreckage uploaded by the Indian public themselves seems to be substantial to make this claim. .
