that’s just madness.
the new world order: whoever has a bigger guns wins.
Not really new...always been like that. The difference now is..it's done blatantly. Before they would at least do it under the guise of "human rights", "bringing democracy", "cleaning up the region of terrorists", and give minor negligible concessions to the other side to keep up appearances.

yes no more hesitation, just blatant, naked aggression
the sad part is UN, UNSC, P5, G20 and other organisations are useless, only good for cheap propaganda.

They always have been IMO. Anytime any powerful country wanted to do something..UN only made lip service and "called on all sides to promote peace" types of statements.
Even in Rwanda where it was literally a genocide between tribes not even some rich powerful country going at it..UN was even slow to act there and let many die.

At this point UN should stick to being productive where it can...
...some examples are...
try to have commonality in road signs all across the world. They can be in whatever language...but things like the shape of a "stop" sign(hexagon in US, triangle in Japan for example)...shapes and colors for "yield sign" and other such things. This commonality would greatly benefit ppl traveling.
...try to have commonality in education. Like for example key concepts being taught by a certain level of education(from elementary school to high school)...again they can be in whatever language but key concepts in things like math and sciences would be the same.

These types of things are the only options where UN can do some good. When it comes to establishing peace by forceful means or preventing war...they are useless.

The UN is like the WWII winners wanted to be. UNGA has no executive power and UNSC have 5 members with veto. It is like a decaffeined coffee.

Anyway happy to read you here.

the P5 is a club of old men with veto. no India, no Brazil, no ASEAN. totally useless. the UN is much a student debate club, more useless.

there is a change. in the past the US waged wars to control the country, resources, expand the influence.
but now with Trump, the US wants to take lands. Putin, Netanyahu, Trump and I don’t know more coming are brothers.
the lesson for other. every country should consider its strategic and military posture.

If you ask me, we are probably going back to the old Pre-League of Nations days; the current crop of world leaders has a similar mindset.

The P5 never represented the makeup of the world except for those who won WWII; therein lies the problem.

Chinese official calls out Israeli official to his face. He called Israel as illegitimate, at least as far as Israel’s narrative.

A cry of conscience.. American pilots refuse to transfer weapons to Israel

In an unprecedented scene within the American military establishment
A number of military pilots refused to carry out orders to fly planes loaded with weapons and ammunition heading to Israel
In protest against the continuing bloody war in the Gaza Strip and the civilian casualties and catastrophic humanitarian effects it has left behind.

According to activists and alternative media, the pilots insisted on their rejectionist stance
Considering that their participation in these operations means their direct involvement in a war that many describe as "genocide" against the Palestinian people.

This position shocked decision-making circles in Washington, as it reflects the extent of the growing division even within the heart of the military establishment.

Informed sources indicated that the pilots were quickly summoned to the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense (Pentagon)
They were interrogated before being forcibly arrested, handcuffed, and then transferred to special military prisons.

This step was widely condemned by human rights activists, who considered that what happened reflected
"To suppress freedom of conscience and reject any dissenting voice within the military."

The incident comes amid increasing international pressure on the administration of US President Donald Trump
Washington faces unprecedented criticism for its open military support for Israel, while humanitarian bleeding continues in Gaza.

It also coincides with the escalation of popular protests in American and European cities
Protesters are demanding an end to arms exports to Israel and sanctions on Tel Aviv.

Observers believe that what happened represents a remarkable turning point
It opens the door to deep questions about the US administration's ability to maintain the unity of the army
At a time of growing popular and official anger over the policy of unconditional support for Israel.
