India benefits from Saudia like it does from the US. You don't "risk" relations whom you benefit. Similarly, they don't have great friendly relations with Iran or Israel. That's dumb to even think that. Lastly, google the meaning of strategic ally. I know your entire nation is super upset but it's over for India. Check mated in May, then by the US and then by the Chinese and now by the Middle Eastern nations. Part of life. 2025 is the worst year for Indian foreign relations. Why did Modi's one of 50 Jotishis not predict it?
India does not go to Saudi Arabia with katora in hand asking for loans and bailouts. The Indo-Saudi relationship is based on mutual interests and mutual benefits. That is not going to change. India realises the Saudis have a long-standing security relationship with Pakistan, just like the Saudis are aware of India's relationship with Israel. After signing the agreement, the Saudis specifically named India and said their relationship with India would only grow stronger. Everyone who understands geopolitics knows this is effectively a one-sided commitment wrapped in a mutual defence agreement to make it look respectable.
The Pakistani regime of the day often makes decisions for its immediate survival that turn out to be long-term albatrosses around the nation's neck. Membership of SEATO and CENTO, supporting the Aghan jihah, participation in Bush's War on Terror, supporting the "good" Taliban are just a few examples. Selling/renting nukes to the Saudis and making every enemy of the Saudis an enemy of Pakistan is just the latest in this list.
