Not a surprise, we may have started talks with them ages ago.

As long as Saudi does not attack Qatar and vice versa (unlikley as it is) Pak defence pacts with both should work

They were so high now they are back to the realities

"We boycott oil saar!"

"we boycott jobs in Saudi saar!"

Not much these clowns can do against the Saudis....

I do not advocate a slinging mudfest, Pakistan perhaps needs to up its game in terms of making light in humor from India's predicament, some way to project a few sarcastic or humorous jobs to a broad audience

Because after all, why should it be one way forever?

End-user agreements (EUA): When the U.S. sells weapons to allies (like Arab states, Pakistan, etc.), contracts usually restrict how and where those weapons can be used. Breaking those agreements can trigger sanctions, spare parts cut-offs, or revocation of support.
Software locks: Many modern U.S. systems (e.g., F-35 jets, advanced drones, Patriot missiles) have embedded software and encrypted codes. These often require periodic updates, remote diagnostics, or codes from the U.S. for full functionality.
GPS control: The U.S. controls access to military-grade GPS signals. They can degrade accuracy or cut it off in certain regions.
ITAR restrictions: U.S. law (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) ensures Washington can limit or block maintenance, spare parts, and updates effectively disabling or grounding fleets without firing a shot.
which jet paf was planning to use aginst israel. can you answer this simple question. plz it would be helpful. was it j7 or mirages or j 6?

Smart diplomacy. Why risk tens of billions coming to India? If the Saudis really decide to, they and their rich GCC Arab allies could do major damage to India's economy by merely expelling the millions of Indian expats employed in the Arab world. Indian workers are very replaceable.
So are many of the white collar workers

My friend, let's stick to facts and common sense. The American military footprint in the Middle East is a flexible regime, the White House decides to increase or decrease it in view of regional developments. The US deployed a massive military force in the region to liberate Kuwait from Iraq in 1991, much of it was withdrawn from the region after the war. There was no need for it in subsequent years.

Iran attacked an American military base in Qatar and managed to cripple a radar system there at best? It is a massive complex with significant defenses. It is not easy to wreck like a residential area in a country. Flattening Israel is also a grossly exaggerated claim made by some on PDF. A video of Tel Aviv was posted after war with Iran, you can see it here. This is but a small part of Israel. How much damage do you see there? Iran have lost about half of its missile force in war but Israel is largely intact and American military bases across the Middle East are largely intact. The USN is also present in the region. There is no need to put thousands of boots on the ground for every conflict situation. A military operation is not a matter of optics but tactics and strategy. The US have employed different tactics and strategy to fight each war in the region. Operation Desert Storm had a different character. Operation Iraqi Freedom had a different character. Operation Inherent Resolve had a different character. Operation Prosperity Guardian had a different character. Operation Midnight Hammer had a different character. What are you on about? Lol.
No-one denies military prowess of America but you are in denial ...you can't accept the fact that others are learning and catching up fast........there is one constant in the universe and that is change .

Deep down even Indians understand that the KSA is a powerful country, it has more influence and options than other Islamic countries. They are in panic mode lol.

Isn't this putting Pakistan squarely in the Israeli/American cross hairs ? Uptil now establishment was clever and had kept quiet internationally about the nuke/missile program alongwith staying away from Mideast/Israel, signaling that all this was "India-specific".

West/Israel was always going to come for Pakistan missile/nuke programs one day, but I thought that was decades in the future and it would be via India or domestic actors. Establishment seems to be speeding up that clash by confronting the source, is that wise at this stage ?

India was supposed to be the trojan horse for the middle east, some of them have finally realised this.

India was/is the trojan horse for sure, brilliant analogy. I do wonder how much the GCC will roll back on India right now.

Others = China insofar. The US does not wants to create another China in India because it might be up against two big powers at some point. The plan now seems to be improving military capability and to create multiple smaller counterweights.

The Americans would have been aware of these "discussions" going on for sure.

There was a decision point between having the security pack with the USA or Pakistan, and that itself could have been a surprise, yes.
