There’s no need to discuss claims here — it’s in the nature of both sides to take them very seriously, and such debates never really end. There is a dedicated thread exists for this purpose. You can make as many claims as you wish there (10, 20, even 30), but I’m honestly not interested in engaging on this claims topic here.

Sports and politics were never separate from each other. They were always intertwined since time immemorial.

The degree of interference keeps varying.

We have seen it in Olympics since its very first edition. The nations (mainly western ones) who talk big on moral aspects of sportsmanship have been the worst in this regard.

Politics into the subcontinent cricket should be seen in the same light.

Would a nation playing politics in sports ever accept it? Never. The claims would always be that it is being done for some greater good of the humanity or own population. Who would openly say that they are doing it for a dirt purpose.

Heck, Israel bombing the shit out of civilians in Palestine is also saying the same. Greater good.

Is Indian stance of saying No and then yes, a morally correct one? NO, it is not.

But, why is it doing it?

Because they can do it and get away with it. The one who wields the power is the one who exploits the situation. At this time the world cricket is under Indian control. Just 2 decades back it was under the British and they were even worst in this regard.

India has chosen the same path. It is not about morals but opportunity.
I see no end in sight for my western neighbours, quite a few of whom are agitated as seen by pages and pages of their thoughts.

Yes. And india/BCCI/GOI started this debacle of regarding a cricket pitch as a forum for declaring hybrid war against Pakistan.

Did SK Yadav not categorically state that the result on the cricket pitch after game 1 was a "response", and that he had acted on instruction from the "government"?

Pakistanis should certainly respond aggressively to Indian politicisation of sports. Ideally though, we simply don't play them ever again and receive a bye in any tournament because of the boycott that they have initiated. Happy to respect their political stance as long as they are consistent.
