that is and or was relevant. I was speaking to a mates mate a few weeks ago. He proudly told me that his daughter was doing medicine at Leeds uni. He then proceeded to tell me that soon as she graduated she was to get married and that's it. I said to him well at least make sure she does 2 years as resident doctor as without it after a few years she wouldn't be able to practice. He said no no we do not want work we don't need it

Spent 40 years sitting on their ass, doing jack for the Arab cause, making a peace deal with Israel, getting degraded weapons and US aid, never standing up to US, no missiles or nukes,, note even BVR capable planes and now wondering why their were not being called upon to lead a military alliance.

Egypt has been irrelevant for years now.

See when Morsi was in power they were starting to be independent. But army encouraged take over coup and supported by Americans etc In fact most of these Arab countries are in place as a result of American permission. Any of these dictators put a foot out of place they would be kicked out.

Honestly, I do not hate them or like them, just do not have an opinion of them.

Wife was seconded to Cairo for 6 months, the stories she had, their work ethic is shocking. Same goes for their military too, bizarre mix of nepotism where knowing the right person gets you into the Air Force academy, some guys basically obatining olympic standard body builder figures in their special forces for no real reason, very lazy average soldiers and officers so mired in corruption they make Pak Army DHA scheme look like World Bank HQ.....

I thought the point that was being made was that we waste potential. That misogyny was just one way we do it. Both saudi and Pakistan on their own have great potential but imo often wasted. This creation of another opportunity is another opportunity for more waste
