Pakistan-Saudi Arabia mutual defense pact: News & Discussion

These retarded authors have wasted Guardian money. Trump was talking about offshore reserves and so far only 1 company have tried their luck. You need to drill 9-10 times to find gas/oil if there is any. Next month Pakistan will hold bidding on offshore blocks so keep a eye on which companies bid, some could be from USA.

No one waste $100-150m to drill offshore if they have not done previous study of potential gas/oil reserves.

Shehbaz Sharif, and the country’s powerful army chief, Asim Munir, into the Oval Office, heralding them both as “great leaders”.

<cough> <cough>

Toby Dalton, Director of the South Asia Program, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace:
“Viewed through geological, commercial, and security lenses alike, turning Pakistan into an oil exporter is effectively impossible. The far more plausible explanation is that Washington and Islamabad need a legal shell that allows Iranian crude to be re-branded as ‘Made in Pakistan,’ thereby sidestepping the very U.S.-led sanctions regime America itself created.”

IFRI report Sanctions-bypass pipelines:
“Trump’s ‘Pakistani bonanza’ is less about geology than about relabeling Iranian barrels. It offers Islamabad transit fees, Washington market leverage, and Tehran an unofficial outlet—an ad-hoc triangular workaround under the banner of ‘bilateral oil development’.”

This is the first angle on this story that makes some sense, except that Zionist lobby would never allow this "laundering" of Iranian oil. It also allows Iran to bypass US sanctions. The GCC will oppose it also. The only beneficiaries are Iran and Pakistan. Therefore I dont think this is the case. But certainly an interesting and creative angle.

“The Gwadar–Chabahar belt is already the single most mature over-ground smuggling route for Iranian fuel. Washington is simply nationalizing the BLA business model.”
→ If the route already exists, lobbying groups not controlling every back-room deal is the default, not the exception.

Now people are asking ,,,,what our own military Generals want from us. Are they only to serve other countries. They treat own nation worst then a dog. Or central Asian (possibly even Russia oil and gas) oil; via a the TAPI or TAP Pipeline, or a combination of both Iranians and central Asian oil via the pipeline?

The network is heavily controlled by Baloch separatist groups such as the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which relies on it as a key source of funding. As a result, the Pakistani government entered into a partnership with the Trump administration, and in return Trump designated the BLA as a terrorist organization.

That's what you read in the newspaper, ground reality is totally different. Nodubt BLA only kills Chinese engineers and anti CPEC.

What the truth really is still needs time to tell.
