I've always been fascinated by the lack of respect the Algerian military gets considering how powerful it is and yet you never see it mentioned in any top 20 rankings of any sorts. Yes, I realize those rankings are screwy and all that. But the fact that this country never even gets a mention is a crime in of itself. They have some incredible hardware and personnel and should be right up there IMO.

Their only problem (as far as my own personal opinion) is they like to stay out of any coalition and hardly ever participate with other countries, especially Arab ones which to me is not a good thing and perhaps that's why they get left in the background? Who knows.
