Key takeaways from a closed-door briefing of editors and talk show hosts with senior security officials (Saturday):

Foreign policy & Gaza
• Pakistan staying within a “national interest” lens; no tilt toward any camp.
• No recognition of Israel or talk of Abraham Accords.
• Main concern: genocide must end, Palestinians must get full rights.
• Talk of sending troops for any “International Stabilization Force” is premature.

Security & regional outlook
• Pakistan ready to respond on a larger scale if India attempts another military escalation.
• Afghanistan must act against terror groups operating inside its territory.

Internal security
• Field General Court Martial of a former DG ISI underway “as per due process.”
• Smuggling–terror cash flows hit hard; full fix depends on complete National Action Plan rollout.

Economic agenda
• Major mineral development push coming; needs deep-pocket joint ventures and strategic patience.
• Private investors have submitted multiple proposals.

Civil–military relations
• “Absolute harmony” between civil and military leadership on all key issues.

Been monitoring her work and really impressed. This will apply pressure on Sindh and KPK. Will they step up?

PTI was an absolute disaster and is the same, look at KPK - its a total shitshow. PPP are just equally incompetent as well. That leaves PMLN which tends to be relatively better and at least do some work. Maryam Nawaz is day and night as compared to Buzdar who was known for being a puppet and was engaged in insane amount of corruption alongwith his brother and pinki peerni’s friend whose name i have forgotten.

There's competition between Bilawal and Maryam for the PM slot.... Bilawal has captive voters in Sindh and Maryam has to work her ass off to woe the voters..... let's presume elections will be fair without PTI.

Aseefa Bhutto Zardari will take this challenge up from Sind.

No idea who will get named from KPK Jirga for the challenge.

Why you never mention Balochistan in your posts?
Karachi and Sindh need to stop voting on ethnic lines and be like the open minded punjabis. They need to vote for PMLN. 5 years of PMLN in Sindh would change the landscape of Karachi. I know it will never happen but this is literally the only way to fix karachi and sindh in general.

Balochistan is not even civilized yet. They need to mentally and consciously develop before I can raise my expectations of them.

Bilalwal is a good speaker but a very poor administrator like his father. I don't see any meangingful change in Sindh.

Karachi would have been the perfect PR piece for them if they had managed to work on it but it looks like the capability and desire is not there.

PPP has a deep rot, it's full of incompetence. He would need to purge many from his party and go for a complete overhaul.

I don't think Bilawal has the mind for this. He is more of a university student debate class type. I don't want PPP anywhere near the government, it will unwind all the good work that has been done in the last few years.
