If people are misinformed, would you insist we keep on going down the same path? This is not a "domestic" issue that can be addressed by "majoritarian" opinion. It is one of a foreign power threatening Pakistan and attacking our citizens. So what policy is your party suggesting? Garland them and settle another 30,000 of them inside Pakistan?
Has your party's policy changed Taliban+TTP's ideology to impose their version of nizam all over Pakistan? If not then who are we kidding with this "ppl of Pakistan to make any policy they choose"?
If KP policy is a representation of the policy of your claimed 2/3 majority, then Pakistan is done with.

They can secure the borders but then don't cry about "they are killing our own people" when the gloves come off. The ones providing refuge to TTP are the people of FATA and KP. It is as simple as this. It is an impossibility for these people to operate in Pakistani tribal areas without local support. Do you want the military to go after the supporters (who are essentially the Maliks and other elders and even PTI officials)?

He is not speaking the truth. The reality is that he is just a Grade-20 officer who works under civilian authority — and that authority comes from the man elected by the people. The elected leader is the one who can speak on matters of war and peace, because the people gave him the mandate. This man has no such mandate, no right to make such statements, and certainly no authority to start a war.

Factual or not factual - as an institution which is subservient to an elected government and does not have domain over foreign policy, it is not in their right to lecture an elected government over foreign policy choices (that too publicly). This has happened in the past and is still happening in Balochistan.
The modus operandi is what happens in south America. Drugs need to be grown, manufactured and smuggled. For that areas need to be kept out of reach and influence of government and security forces.
Tirah has a very large drug based economy and likewise has the highest number of terror related incidents.
Remedy is to use the drugs economy instead of fighting against it. Why grow wheat when Opium grows far easier and gets more money.
