Protect the people with what resources ? Are Corps Commander , Peshawar and the IGs of the FC reporting to the provincial government now ?Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said on Friday that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government should work on protecting the people of the province instead of “begging Afghanistan” for security.
The DG ISPR made these remarks while addressing a press conference at Peshawar Corps Headquarters.
He said governance gaps in KP were being paid for by the blood of security personnel.
“Appeasement of terrorists and their facilitators is never and not a policy,” he asserted, adding that the state and its institutions would not be bothered by “any political distortions”.
“The state and its people will not and cannot be left to the whims of any single person who is singularly the most responsible person for bringing terrorism back to KP.”
He said that he hoped the government would focus on governance and the people it was duty-bound to protect. “We also hope that instead of begging Afghanistan for security, you will protect this province and its people.”
The DG ISPR began the press conference by paying homage on behalf of the armed forces of Pakistan to the “brave sons of soil” of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said the purpose of the press conference was to give an overview of the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
For the past two decades, Pakistan, particularly KP, has been facing the issue of terrorism, he said.
In 2024, he said, 14,535 intelligence-based operations were conducted in KP, 769 terrorists, including 58 Afghan terrorists, were killed and 272 army and FC personnel and 140 policemen were martyred, while 165 civilians were killed.
Let's not feign this "they have no power/resources". Every province enacts a plan that includes all elements of national power including the army, FC, police etc. etc. as needed.Protect the people with what resources ? Are Corps Commander , Peshawar and the IGs of the FC reporting to the provincial government now ?
Look at this little man. As a great man once said, “When small minds get into high offices, they can’t handle the weight of their position.

PTI has the mandate from the people of Pakistan to make any policy they choose. They hold the two third majority. He, on the other hand, has no mandate he’s just a Grade-20 officer, a little man pretending to have power a salary paid by the people of PakistanWhat little man? He is speaking factually. IK's appeasement of the TTP resulted in the mess on hand. The only roadblock in the implementation of NAP is KP government and PTI who are courting ethnic support to manage the current political landscape.
Afghans, since Pakistan's founding have had heartburn. IK's kissing up to them yielded nothing beneficial for Pakistan. They built their reserves and pushed their TTP assets back into Pakistan.
I can guarantee not one PTI supporter can offer anything except appeasement. Also realize, the end goal for the TTP is to extend IEA's vision and rule into Pakistan proper. What is TTP's charter? It is one "nizam"/rule by them as they expand into and beyond Pakistan. All those enjoying the relative liberties in Peshawar, Lahore, ISB should think carefully about where this appeasement will lead to.
If fighting solved problems, the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah and the Charter of Medina would never have existed. He is right on this issue. Afghans/Afghanistan are an enemy of Pakistan.
I also support PTI and Imran Khan, but I won't allow my judgement to be clouded. KPK cannot obstruct the state policy. Imran Khan also had a flawed policy when it comes to Afghanistan.
That is a little unfair..Jaisay PTI walay farishtay hain...bouj jab mou kholta hai jhoot bolta hai subha jhoot shaam jhoot!! kakuli buhut fraud hain!
