Israel has the world behind them, at least the governments. Russia has the world against them, except for a handful of countries like Iran, North Korea, China, Nicaragua, etc.
Not even remotely the same situation.#
Israel does not have the world on its side. This is a distorted view that fails to capture the truth. Israel enjoys the backing of Washington, Rome, London, Paris, and Berlin; however, nearly all other UN member states have repeatedly voted against Israel in the UN. Furthermore, there is considerable political opposition to Netanyahu's Israel even in those countries mentioned above. It was this increasing global pressure that caused the Trump administration to cave in and force Netanyahu to agree to the ceasefire deal.
We need to stay grounded in reality, which also entails providing fair assessments without exaggerating or minimizing the situation.
Russia is going pretty easy on Ukraine for several reasons:
This is borderline Russian propaganda. Hundreds of billions of USD are frozen in Western capitals, hundreds of thousands of young soldiers have died or been injured, there is global diplomatic isolation, NATO is expanding, the Caucasus is being lost, oil infrastructure has been damaged throughout Russia to the extent that the country is facing shortages, strategic nuclear bombers have been destroyed by the Urkainians, and hatred is being fostered in all of Europe and neighboring countries of Russia that will persist for generations to come.
Additionally, hundreds of billions of dollars have been spent on this war to date, pension funds are being looted, and on top of it all, the reputation of the Russian military has been destroyed.
So no, the Russians are not "going easy on Ukraine".
1. First and foremost, because it wants to rule over the territories it occupies. The moment it nukes Ukraine, it can say goodbye to the people of those occupied regions supporting them. After all, those people have families living in Ukraine. Israel doesn't have this problem with Iran.
I never suggested the use of those bombs in eastern Ukraine, where the population is mainly Russian. Moreover, using weapons of mass destruction carries a political price that nuclear powers fear they might have to bear. Sadly, the loss of human lives doesn't hold as much significance as one might assume. This world is grim, and in the realm of geopolitcs, humanity often takes a back seat.
2. Secondly, Russia has always been looking for validation from the Western world. Putin tried to approach and appease the West hundred times before he finally attacked Ukraine. The moment Russia uses nuclear weapons, it will be cut off from the entirety of Europe. Russians do consider themselves European because of being Slavic centric.
Russia is cut off from Europe and the chances of Türkiye joining the EU is higher than Moscow becoming part of the Union. Yes, they are European by blood but any Western European would choose Japan and South Korea over Russians.
3. Thirdly, nuclear explosion in Ukraine would affect other nearby regions like Belarus, Russia and NATO countries like Poland, Romania, etc. Israel wouldn't have this problem either.
Why are your assumptions always so radical, brother? We are not talking about a second Tsar Bomb but about tactical nuclear weapons that can be used in a limited way.
Russia has been extremely kind to the Ukrainians for those reasons. Israel killed 400-500 Iranians in the last day of war. Had Russia done that in Ukraine, the entire world would've written about it 24/7 for the next 12 months at least.
Russia has suffered damages a million times greater from the war in Ukraine than the total impact of all Iranian missiles launched at Israel to date.
Your belief that any assault on Israel should be restrained due to their nuclear arsenal, which you lack, has been disproven by the actual events of the Ukrainian conflict. It is is simply not truth. As deranged as Netanyahu might be, he cannot and he will not use WMD against Iran. This fear has no grounds in reality. The Americans and Europeans would never allow the Israelis to cross this line because it would open the gates of hell for them and despite the major Jewish lobby in Western capitals, there are lines that can not be crossed - not even for Jews.
