Has nobody considered just mining the border, if a wall is too expensive?

Probably been consider but not done for many reasons, first of which I assume is cost. Besides, a camera system and an SH-15 battery could allow for precision fires, without the risk that later on Pakistan army patrols would be risking going into a mine field.
