The recent death of the two commissioned Pakistan Army officials finally put into action the Asim Munir doctrine of aggressive defense. And if an Indian channel is to be believed: The Chinese and the Americans are supportive of Pakistan's aggressive actions and money is not a concern for Pakistan.
I'd love to know what Munir and Trump discussed in that extended 'private lunch'!!

i don't think the indian hindutva realize what these talibans actually think.....if this is some sort of geostrategic "smartness" being shown by muttaqi, he sure is a dumb.

• The Taliban view Pakistan as exactly the way they viewed the 1970s era socialist liberal Soviet backed Afghanistan. The Taliban and affiliates helped by foreign invasions and skillful manipulation of religious sensitivities eroded the Afghan social milieu over decades using both "kinetic and non-kinetic methods finally causing a collapse in early 1990s. The Taliban believe similar defections from the armed forces in Pakistan and collapse can be engineered over time. An India Pakistan war can only help.
• The India gamble is a short term event. The Taliban would very much like to get control of Pakistan's nuclear assets. Indians haven't read Taliban text books that hail the Afghan wae lords that plundered India since 1200 A.D
