Hamas doesn't seek civil control of Gaza. It seeks to provide immediate security to Gaza.
It is giving up civil control to technocratic government that is being formed as we speak.
And will be ready sooner or later.
The Israeli hysteria is meant to provide justification for renewed Israeli operations in Gaza which isn't going to work as mediators and even allies of Israel are aware of the games and are growing tired of Israel.
Gaza won't be a place for external actors to settle scores.
We all salute the resilience of Palestinians. We hope and pray for some semblance of recovery and for some sort of future for the people in Gaza and the WB. I have been meaning to tell you that I cannot find myself disagreeing significantly with any of your analysis and commentary - you are speaking wisely and from the heart, the heart of an occupied and brutalised nation that will rise again and win its freedom.
Let me add that the world has changed over the last two years. The young of the west have spoken up on your behalf with vigour and zeal, to a far greater and more intelligent degree than most of us who hail from the so-called Muslim world.
