From personal experience I can say that there will always be small pockets of differring views in a society and in this aspect there will be small pockets in specific mostly less developed areas of KPK where selected few will be sympathetic to Taliban not necessarily TTP (or both).

Majority, actually much more than majority of people of KPK love their country more than they care for any Afghan or Talib. Isolated incidents and anecdotal examples given here by some members here with clear ethnic hatred do not represent the people of KP. Many of my friends from KP fought against this menace of Khwarij in those very bad days when people would not come out of their homes and would only come out when the daily suicide bomb had gone off, then it's the daily quota done so let's get on with our day.

In less developed KP areas the issue gets complicated with local law enforcement/police ( which can have very limited capability due to KPK own negligence or whatever reason) are not able to exert their control and the population is at the mercy of criminals that take the form of TTP or the other way around. Then these people live to survive day to day by whatever means..... including paying protection money and being extorted for it one way or another.

This then gives rise to conspiracy theories that is so common in our society like " the taliban cross the army checkpoint without issue and come rob us and then they go back" .... a tribal with limited education in a poorly developed area will get skeptical if not confused at least about who to trust.

The US officially recognize the TTP as a terrorist organisation (https://www.state.gov/foreign-terrorist-organizations). The CIA assassinated some of the most dangerous TTP leaders to help Pakistan counter it. The TTP is an ally of the TTA and continues to attack Pakistani troops and civilians because it opposes governance and development of tribal areas. The TTP wants to establish its writ in tribal areas and not be accountable for its deeds there. How is this acceptable? The state must have its writ in all parts of the country.

Pakistan wanted to preserve the Taliban, the US accepted it. The Taliban are not equipped to handle a professional military force out in the open. The Taliban lasted in war due to finding support in Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan. Hypothetically speaking, the US is absolutely capable of wiping out the entire region (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/jul/22/trump-imran-khan-pakistan-afghanistan-war), and Pakistan is absolutely capable of attacking the Taliban across Afghanistan and seize parts of Afghanistan near the Durand Line. The US and Pakistan together? The Taliban will fall very fast.

I honestly do believe we need a large scale weeks long ground offensive into border areas as well as potentially unto kabul for clearing enemy positions and munitions stockpiles and regime change and then leaving without sticking around for nation building. If the people of Afghanistan let Taliban come back again we bomb them again and again in short air campaigns before they build any strength to attack Pakistan
 
There is no political solution in Afghanistan...
The word "Political solution" sounds victory to TALIB ears, a huge misunderstanding and stupidity... And giving into to stupidity is greater stupidity ITSELF.
There is No US in Afghanistan
There is No Soviet in Afghanistan
China is least interested in invading Afghanistan
So that means we get to kick their arse once and for all...
Establish a 100sq miles buffer zone push them further back and flood the buffer zone with drones...
Declare every TALIB leader as a target...
For every one strike in Pakistan let 5 Afghan cities be bombed...
To show Afghans that TALIBS can't do nothing to protect them and as long as Afghans support TALIBS they will be at receiving end... Totally undermine and destroy anything and everything that these TALIB hold dearly ..

You didnt get the gist. Think of it from another point of view.

Indian trained Mukti Bahini and then attacked East Pakistan to get MB a separate state.
Pakistan trained mujahideen and but didnt attack India openly rather conducted Kargil covertly however the result wasnt achieved.

Now, Mukti Bahini wanted Bangla, and got it through India.
Pakistan didn't train kashmiris (solely) who wanted their own homeland independent from Indian clutches, instead Pakistan trained Afghans, Saudis (OBL), Pakistanis, Uzbeks, Tajiks, Chechens and others who landed in Pakistan's lap after Soviet withdrawal and USA alienation. None of these were Kashmiris and eventually they became TTP (majority Afghan and Pakistanis) and they want Pakistan, not Kashmir.

Deport every afghani from Pakistan. Stop giving them visas. Impose blockade like the one Ayub Khan did. Support anti-Taliban resistance. Maybe even work on balkanization of Afghanistan.

In short term continue to do what Pakistan did today till terrorism completely halt in KPK and Balochistan. Destroy their infrastructure which will not be easy for them to build it again.

PAF was not even used today/yesterday so cheap drones did well. Taliban regime couldn't kill any Pakistani soldier after that initial attack. Pakistan can simply force them to not build any military post 100km from Pakistan border.
