Winter risks bringing Afghan infiltration

Agencies tighten security as cross-border terror threats rise

October 17, 2025

With the onset of winter, Pakistani security agencies have warned of a growing threat of terrorists crossing over from Afghanistan into Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). Officials say terrorist groups have altered their strategy, attempting to infiltrate through the border regions of Chitral, Kurram, Bajaur, and Khyber. However, timely response by security forces successfully foiled these attempts and prevented the formation of new terror networks.

According to police sources, a fresh security plan has been drawn up following recent cross-border attacks. Intelligence-based operations are underway to identify and investigate facilitators allegedly operating under the guise of Afghan refugees. Security arrangements in Peshawar, Khyber, Mohmand, and Bajaur have also been reassessed.

Official data reveals that 382 attacks on police were reported in 2025, compared to 232 in 2024. While 105 terror strikes were thwarted last year, 244 have been foiled so far in 2025.

Pakistan includes the Afghan areas it controls on its map

Pakistan announced that it would never return the 19 checkpoints it seized from Afghanistan

Instead, these 19 points will be officially added to Pakistan's national map as new 'tourist attractions'.

Afghanistan is gearing up to prolonged war and getting into the mindset of all out war. This is worrying development between two brotherly nations.

The Afghan mod has released this yesterday

The sad part is that both parties feel wronged here and especially Afghanistan they don´t have anything to do with TTP and see them as foreign entity. Hence both narratives of the conflict is kinda of based on falsehood.

The only winner is TTP while Afghan-Pak could be the losers but Qatar has alot of work cut out for them to prevent one of the greatest disasters in the Ummah´s history

They are not our brotherly nation, they have always attacked us

For the first few decades we tried to absorb the attacks and hope they would relent

And finally we started to respond and Afghanistan suffered and unraveled

Afghans own stupidity bought the Soviets and endless conflict upon them

And our stupidity meant that we foolishly accepted our enemy Afghan population into our country and supported them to save Afghanistan, all it has ever bought us is terrorism and attacks.

Pakistan has a simple response now, we will block the border, won't allow any trade through,
They can't use our ports
And for every Afghan attack we will decimate multiple targets in Afghanistan

It's upto the Afghans to comply or face the consequences

There will be no half-measures here bro it is either all out war or nothing to the bitter end as both sides are hardcore elements on the extreme side who don´t know half measure.

Qatar has alot of work cut out for them as both sides feel wronged especially Afghanistan they don´t see themelves part of TTP nor having relations with them. They feel like Pakistan´s internal issues is being forced down their throats and see this as existential war.

Both countries are brotherly nations whether they entirely wipe each other off the face of the earth or not that fact will never change.

Qatar has the chance to prevent one of the greatest disasters in the Ummah´s history.. The refugee count could top 100 million from both countries as Civil war is bound to take hold in Pakistan as well the hotter the war gets
