Pakistan-Af: Operation Khyber Storm

Yup. We will see Pakistan and the IEA sign some meaningless agreements and go home. All smiles.
TTP will carry out a terrorist attack, Pakistan will launch military strikes on Afghanistan in retaliation.
More agreements, more terrorism and more Pakistan strikes on Afghanistan.
This is going to be business as usual and hopefully, over a period of time we can expect terrorism to start declining considerably.

Who knows? It is almost in the blood of the Afghans to cause tensions in the region. With very little to happy about in their situation of very, very low human and natural resources, strife and wars is one of the main sources of income for too many in that God Forsaken country.
But that's the Afghan side of the equation. On Pakistan's side, I don't see why Pakistan is going to accept the status quo of the last several decades given that for the very first time in Pakistan's history, the three major global power (Russia, China, and USA) are generally supportive of Pakistan's actions on Afghanistan. Pakistan's star has certainly risen since Modi's ill thought Operation Sindoor and Pakistan is not going to accept Afghanistan to tarnish Pakistan's rising image.
And neither is Pakistan willing to accept the domestic political supporters of terrorism anymore. Pakistan is becoming a 'Hard State', riding on Pakistan's recent military and diplomatic gains.

Give them 1 month. When nothing crosses the border and the trade route stays shut, they'll be scratching their head.
If the talks work, then trade will reopen. You already have afghan officials complaining about losses, this is going to be priority #1 for the Afghan delegation.

What surprises me is Jayshankar who has diplomatic background yet comes up with silly stances, which often backfire. I remember when Iran-Pakistan crisis broke out he jumped to the occasion to declare support for Iran in what the Indians were calling "war." Within hours Iran approached Pakistan to pacify the situation, followed by visit by Iranian senior officials, including the late President. India was speechless thereafter.

The man was also pimping India to the US and maintained anti-China bias. When Indo-US relations soured, the Chinese simply refused to entertain Jayshankar and instead asked for Modi. What then transpired was what can only be interpreted as Modi bending knee to President Xi.

India desperately needs a foreign minister capable of balancing his/her act, instead of Temu Chankya, for which there is already too much of a competition going on within the BJP ranks.

Diplomatically they have made so many missteps since May fighting.

Antagonising Trump, staying neutral when US/Israel bombed Iran, backing Talibs, running off to China.

Just rally bizarre. As a result no one really trusts them of knows they can reply on them

Chinese - India is a market for them and they have Pakistan to keep them in check
US - Trump no cannot stand Modi, and after May India seems to have lost a lot of it's strategic value
Russia - India will now stop buying Russian oil, Putin not gonna be happy
Iran - No support at all from India and Chahbahar Port now finished
Israel - Indians voting against them but also voicing support
Saudis - Big finger to India via SMDA
Qataris - Do not let Indians in sensitive posts now after Submarine spy scandal
Turks - Enough said, Indian public boycott of Turkey has probbaly come as a relief for the residents of Istanbul

Then they now publicly back Taliban.

Serious issues at their Foreign Ministry I think. They are seasoned diplomats, so the Tea Seller will obviously take advice from them.

Khawaja Asif asking Trump to resolve the situation. Trump refused to involved, may be later, he is facing too many political turmoil on home turf right now.

Pakistan will be facing a 2 front war soon. India from the east and Afghanistan from west. Negotiations with the Taliban are now meaningless. Our focus should be on decapitation strikes on Taliban.

IMO, the conflict doesn't yet have the intensity to capture Trump's interest. Besides, so long Pakistan has the upper hand, I don't think he needs to jump in. When he does, he'll probably want Bagram Air Base.

Two more examples

Bangladesh: accepting Hasina post revolution thereby antagonizing Bangladesh

Canada: Indian assassinations on Canadian soil has deteriorated relations.
