The case against Comey needs to be air tight. The deck is already stacked against DOJ. I found it interesting they were able to secure an indictment in the District of Northern Virginia in the first place.

At least Comey hasn't had to suffer the embarrassment of a heavily armed SWAT team raiding his home at 0600.

It says a lot that a lib grand jury indicted Comey. The two indictments were to hold him since statue was expiring from what I'm hearing they got a sht load on him and expect Comey, Wray and others to start effing each other. It is likely he won't get convicted but that's somewhat expected what they really want is to expose the whole cht so that Trump can burn it all down.

It's already been demonstrated Wray was less than truthful as well regarding plain clothes agent participation during the J6 protests.

There is an old saying, "you can get the Grand Jury to indict a ham sandwich," by former Republican Judge Sol Wachtler

This is because prosecutors control the Grand Jury; there is no input from the defence or a judge, there are no barriers to the evidentiary rule, you can present anything you want, even hearsay can be presented as evidence. And you have no obligation to show any exculpatory evidence.

And the fact that the Grand Jury threw out a charge in this indictment tells you everything you need to know in this case, if Halligan loses 1 indictment in the balance of probability without any opposition, what do you think will happen if she were challenged by an opposing counsel with the other 2 to a "beyond all reasonable doubt standard"?

SCOTUS is currently in session and going by what is being said in court SCOTUS is going to rule against the democrats.

Democrats really are cheating heathens... with all the crap they have done through the years/decades to win seats in the House they still lose power in the House of Reps and now that Republicans are playing the democrat game of redistricting and with SCOTUS ruling the democrats are going to lose up to 19 seats. They are done.

This DEI judge just did the "trust me bro."

I have been pinging the AZGOP. AZ is LONG overdue to revisit this. Especially AZ-07.

Why AZ-07? That is the district that for the last year and a half has not had any meaningful representation due to Rahul Grijalva's dealing with terminal cancer. He refused to step down, was reelected, then immediately went out again. Now he's gone.

Special election held. Not surprised his daughter won in a landslide; better than 2:1.

Why? Look at the district. HEAVILY gerrymandered to ensure he NEVER lost.

Think about this…Democrats have massive voter fraud machines in major blue citiesThey have 19 gov’t-enforced Congressional districts based purely on skin colorThey’ve fully gerrymandered almost every blue state They have tens of millions of illegals flooding their sanctuary states giving them illegal House seats & Electoral College votesThey have mass mail in ballots, drop boxes, and harvestersAnd they STILL got cleaned out by Trump in 2025Once SCOTUS strikes down these 19 race-based districts as unconstitutional, they may not win the House for 20+ yearsThat’s what’s at stake

I chose not to attend a protest. Instead, Mrs. AZ and I had lunch with friends. We noticed our favorite Saturday establishment was rather empty for the time of day. We assumed a lot of those were probably at the protests.

That's the other spectrum of politics. Protest does work even when the government didn't do anything, it raises attention to the issue, and when you have millions (they say there are over 4 million in these protests US wide), that's kind of hard to ignore.

The US political landscape is very unique, and it is largely unlike the EU or Australia/NZ where you don't depend on a base. Because the biggest voting bloc is the one that did not vote, and those are people who are generally in the middle, and these people are the ones who control the US, which means towing Party Line is not going to get you re-elected. And it's getting hard to ignore the issue if there are millions of people marching.

As for No King, we have a king in Australia, that's HRH Charles, and I don't even like our actual king let alone some wannabe.

That is an interesting point, even by not attending but by noticing the sizable absence of your neighbors lets you know that enough don’t like what’s happening. It might not sway you or the Mrs. But it might be enough to sway people sitting on the fence in the middle, as @j_hungary points out is all you need to shift elections.

According to peaceful protest revolution experts, you need to cross 3.5% of the population out on the streets to create an irreversible momentum for social change. Which would be around 10-12 million in the US. Perhaps we might see it by next summer depending on how things go under DJT leadership. Ultimately, thankfully we have the ballot box to let our voices be heard and acted upon.
