The main things you need is about 100-200 centrifuges of IR-6 or IR-4 generation. That can be packed into pretty small halls in a mountain or underneath a city or anywhere really. Remember that Pakistan went nuclear with AQ Khan’s Gen 1 design aka IR-1 design. IR-6 is 5x to 10x more efficient (SWU). That means 1 IR-6 centuries can do the work of at least 5 Pakistani Khan Gen 1 centrifuges from 30+ years ago.

So Spin the 60% uranium to weapons grade.

Then take the uranium and fashion it into uranium metal core (certain facilities can do this ad hoc since the main facility was destroyed in the 12 day war).

After that fashion the bridge detonator to create the chain reaction needed (this was likely solved in the early 2000s).

Ideally Iran would need at least 4-5 bombs.

1 to detonate for testing. And a 2nd to detonate 2 weeks later to show the West that:

A) first detonation wasn’t a fluke

B) they have more than one nuke

Weaponization to get it to fit on a missile warhead will take longer, but Iran isn’t trying to race to get this on a missile.

As I said when this war began, if Iran started sprinting for the bomb after the 12 day war then it should be testing it by the end of this year.

If they don’t test by end of this year, then it’s likely that the order was never given.

Thousands of centrifuges were moved to Iran’s deeply buried nuclear site known as PickAxe Mountain after the 12 day war.

Will Iran dash for the bomb? Has it already been doing it? Is PickAxe just a diversion for the real small facility that is doing the enrichment and weaponization peace?

Assuming Iran started building a bomb in fall of 2025, then logic would dictate it would be ready for testing by the end of this year.

If the news is "true"( unlikely given the source), Iran would have been wise to move as much of its military industry and other expensive equipment into storage in the mountains to ride out the war, that is common sense.

There is little to no trust on either side. The only way they can enforce control is by ensuring ships pass through their controlled corridor. Oman, the US likely the other GCC countries dont want Iran to control the SOH so they set up the Oman side corridor which led to direct conflict.

Hitting civilian targets are wrong but you need to look at this in the eyes of why the Iranians need to do what they are, they know its existential for them so having leverage over the SOH is key otherwise trump will put an indefinite blockade when he wants to force Iran to do what he says. The US has a history of bad faith negotiations, unfortunately unlikely to change with current admin.

Why are you telling such lies?
After the memorandum of understanding was signed on June 15, Trump ordered consecutive direct airstrikes on the Iranian mainland on June 21, June 26, and June 27. The ceasefire was never observed. While Trump completely violated every provision of the memorandum of understanding, Iran unilaterally exercised restraint. It was Trump, not Iran, who broke the agreement. Please base your statements on the facts. The fact that Iran finally reached its limit, waited until July 6, and then carried out a small-scale attack on just a few tankers that had violated the agreement was purely an act of self-defense.

What was the case on the day Iran attacked the 3 civilian vessels transiting the Strait? What was the case the day before, and the day before that, and the day before that?

How many days of relative peace did we have? Had the US not lifted its blockade? Had the US not allowed Iran to trade it’s oil? Was the Strait not in relative peace and ships transiting smoothly? In that instance, it was not the US but Iran which decided to violate the MoU. And dude, for what? Was it not in Iran’s interest to continue with the MoU, turning it into an agreement vetted by the UNSC through which Iran could continue to trade its oil unincumbered, utilize the return of its seized assets and funds and return to commerce with the whole world? even the willingness of the US to discuss the possibility of reconstruction of Iran was a positive incentive.

That is indeed their case, but through their case they are violating rights of other countries which have nothing to do with the war. And that's wrong. They can do whatever they want to do with the US and Israel but none of their actions should inconvenience countries like Pakistan in any way. And yet their actions are putting strain on our economy. How can anyone justify that?
