Criticising Saudis is a hard sell in Pakistan, anyone doing this risks being called a Rafzi, Majusi or Irani Agent.Saudis massacred dozens of Iraqis but apparently when they do the killing they are not escalating
We know what you are
just like AIPAC drives the American politics and has its stamp on poltical, corporate, social commentary and even daily life... in Pakistan, the Saudi lobby has spent a lot of money to drive politics and religion, our madrassahs specially the Deobandi madrassahs are funded by the gulf states and the relgious leaders that run them openly brag about it.
the involvement of Saudi funding drives our social commentary when it comes to sectariansim and foreign relations. we have innocent and simpleton Pakistanis (I am using these terms for decency ).. who will drink the water the Saudi royal family has washed their feet from.... we Pakistanis confuse the Saudis with the Sahabah of the Holy Prophet PBUH.. and we try to please them one way or another but due to some miricle, we have not turned into Iraq, Syria Sudan and Lybia despite the Gulf funding of sectarian terrorists and extremist relgious organisations.
but you will see unhinged comments on other social media platforms where accounts with Pakistani thumbnails and DP's are bad mouthing Iran and wishing it to turn into rubble and cursing our leadership for "betaying" the head chopping Taliban.
but thankfully UAE has made the job a bit easier for us now. all these defence deals with Gulf state are as meaningful as the UNSC resolutions for Palestine and Kashmir. At most they will let our retiring generals live there a happy life.
we resisted the saudis even during Gen Zia time who refused to take sides against Iran so I pray we never get invovled and become hostile to Iran for the sake of GCC countries.
