Given how much Iran has been bragging about SU-30/35, it’s logical that Iran (like India) has probably secured a license for SU-30 variant to be produced in Iran with Russia supplying the engines and sensitive hardware.

And Iran was seen adding HAS infrastructure for future large jets before the war. Add in the fact they also purchased YAK-130 and Russian attack helicopters and Russian humvees in recent months, it’s likely what they are alluding to is a Russian SU-30 license production like India has.

Time will tell. But one thing I know for certain is Iran isn’t developing its own fighter jet. It neither has the infrastructure (even pre-war) nor the resources for such an endeavor.

It’s best bet is to secure SU-30/35 in short term along side a small number of SU-57 and be a part of the SU-75 checkmate program for a future fighter jet to replace the bulk of Iran’s aging jets that still remain. SU-35 can only be a stop gap, not the future.

The odds of China selling fighter jets or license production to Iran is near zero. Xi is worse than Putin when it comes to such matters.

Which makes me think if Democrats win House and Senate they'll put pressure on Trump to work towards a settlement during his term to prevent him from carrying it into next US presidents term. Iran has got plenty of missiles it could hit them with.

If the US Navy did not find Iran a threat, it would not be hiding away in Pakistani territorial waters.

Good luck with it then. And no the US isnt hiding anywhere. US has imposed a blockade over Iran for months now halting Iranian export to negative and Iran could not do a damn thing about it. Yes Iran has missiles but missiles have their own limitations. If Iran could, they would have done it by now and forced the US to lift the blockade.
