$100 Billion Karachi could be $200 billion Karachi

Where would you get the entrepreneur spirit? It is not created in an incubator.
MBS NEOM is DOA.
Anyone who has some sense of human sociology and evolution knew cities cannot be produced in a lab.
Karachi has great people.
Just let them breathe. Stop suffocating them.

Great post!
Too many people in this forum fall for the 'we' or 'they' kind of paradigm of thinking, making grandiose suggestions. The ruling classes represent the 'they' and the 'we' and not just in Pakistan. Changes have to come organically. And they are coming--positively too-- even in case of Pakistan and Karachi. The breast beating is almost global except for some Scandinivian countries.
Specifically to this thread, I have been watching the prominent Pakistani anchors: Nukta Channel's Kamran Khan and the Sohail Warraich channel on You Tube. Very different views about what to do about the administrative divisions/new provinces. Kamran represents the Karachiites views: Break away from Sindh's fiefdom while Warraich is very cautiously saying don't go the route of more administrative units as he sees that a route to even more centrifugal forces in Pakistan. And as a born and raised Karachiite myself, while I do see merits in Kamran's argument, I am putting my weight behind Warraich's POV.

People who support the status quo and historical blunders lack cognition, they are archaic frozen primate hominids.
For 300 years retard Muslim mind is at zero level. Pakistan controlled by parochial tribal mind of medieval europe like mind.
If Pakistan cannot become a modern functioning state, it should disintegrate. I feel powerful military has finally realized it, though I shall be very interested to know how did they come to this conclusion.

What is the proof that the military has realized it enough to actually be able to implement it without looking at personal glory or interests?

Personal interest, glory.
Oldest survival instincts from time immortal. Religion meant to regulate it but religion is also a tool of personal interest in the hands of ignorant.
Powerful military would do it? from my perspective it is still a wishful thinking. Seeing is believing.

Karachi is more than what meets the eyes,

It is the symbolic battle between the middle class and the ruling feudal lords.
This is the biggest gem that the feudal lords control, and the lords are facing the biggest single block of opposition they could.

If the feudal lords fail here, the rest of Pakistan too will get rid of them.

200B$ claim is too far-fetched.
Even at 100B$, one city being 25% GDP of the country of your size seems mind boggling.

There is no official GDP by provinces or cities in Pakistan for whatever reasons. Maybe in 10-20 years.

Though I will not be surprised if Karachi is 20% of Pakistan GDP.

Karachi is too far gone now.

They should build a new port city, plan it properly and make sure PPP or JUI or any of these incompetents are not in charge.
Karachi have potential to produce within a 2 to 4 years 500 billions but if freed from clutches of PPP and MQM (of any kind).

Karachi should be made 2nd capital city under Islamabad control along with all ports.
