QUETTA: At least two policemen were among a dozen people injured by a bomb attack, which targeted a police vehicle in the provincial capital of Balochistan, on Wednesday.

Officials said that unidentified miscreants had parked an explosives-laden motorcycle in the Bhosa Mandi area of Eastern Bypass. When a police vehicle reached the spot, an explosion was triggered, ostensibly using a remote-controlled device.

The bomb blast injured a police constable, the driver of the police van and 10 other passersby.

Soon after receiving information about the explosion, police rushed to the area and shifted the injured to the Quetta Civil Hospital.

The condition of two injured people was stated to be serious.

“The target of the miscreants was a police mobile vehicle which was slightly damaged in the explosion. The explosives-laden motorbike was detonated with a remote-controlled device,” senior police officer Abid Jadoon said.

The victims were identified as police constable Naimat, police van driver Abdul Hafeez, Muhammad Isa, Qadeer Ahmed, Abdul Qadeer, Deen Muhammad, Khalil Ahmed, Naseem, Hasnain, Saifullah, Niamatullah and Abdul Qahar.

The hand grenade exploded in front of the house of the SDO, leaving four teenagers injured.

Police rushed to the area soon after having been informed of the incident and shifted the injured to district hospital where one of the injured succumbed to his injuries.

The condition of two other teenagers was stated to be serious.

The deceased boy was identified as Shahzain while the injured teenagers were identified as Shahzaib, Babar Ali, Owais Bahadur and Muhammad Aqib Mangrio.

Police have registered a case. No one has claimed responsibility for the two explosions so far.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti on Wednesday condemned the attack on the police mobile van in Quetta and hand grenade attack in Sibi and said that terrorists will be brought to justice.

Another female suicide bomber.

BLA is mirroring the Kurdish style militancy you see in the Middle East, even their propaganda edits are very similar

Is there an actual non biased studies that shows how many Baluchi men were abducted/imprisioned/killed by the Military inc?

For a women to take such drastic measures means something must’ve occurred to them, ie rape by military inc, or their men of their families being killed/abducted etc, which then provides the motivation to kill yourself by taking the enemy out too.

Before the usual diatribes start coming out and some of you start chimping out at me - do you think it’s not far fetch given what’s been going on in Punjab, that the same is be replicated at a much drastic and diabolical rate in a far away, remote region?

And the Kurds have a righteous fight against their oppressors same as the Kashmiris do against Indian forced occupation, and the Palestinians against the Israelis!

I don't really care to be very honest, abductions of suspicious individuals in an insurgent zone happens everywhere since forever. Especially since BLA has significant support among Baloch society.

And it's important to make a distinction between being oppressed and wanting an ethnic state - Pakistan is one of the most diverse and accepting nations on the planet and all ethnicties thrive, it's corrupt but discrimination on ethnicity is rare. See Karachi or Islamabad or Lahore.

The Baloch want to balkanise Pakistan not because they are oppressed but because of the desire of a purely Baloch ethnic homeland and a feeling of supremacy over Punjabis who form the bulk of the population.

Then leave them along and withdraw your forces back to the Punjabi heartland.

You say there’s no discrimination in those three cities which is correct to an extend, but you miss the biggest factor - those cities are developed relatively to whatever is it Baluchistan.

All the investments into those cities and not much in Quetta.

since BLA has support across all society then you’re not winning this war.

Your illtrained soldiers getting wrecked every week, and innocent civilians killed based off their sect and ethnicities, but still you don’t care.

I'm sure this will happen because CPTplanet is crying about it on an online forum, if only the world worked like that

Yeah since your low iq paper soldiers are doing such a superb job in occupied western part of the country. Can’t even fight out of a wet paper bag. Let me know when that policy pays off for you.

Jews bombing Palestine and Lebanon

Meanwhile in Pakistan: Muslims bombing Muslims.

No wonder you are lead by a donkey.

What happened to the best spy agency in the world? Super dooper ISI?

It's a low level militancy, some left wing extremist movement. The majority of the population doesn't support it. It's same in KPK with the ttp groups who are right wing extremist.

That’s even worse bro. We both how much hard these insurgency has gone killing dozen of PA soldiers at a time. That’s not low level, it’s high level.

That other poster admits that Balochistan society as a whole is against Pakistan and its army but wants to continue to do as we have without any results.

There’s no development there. The tribal leaders are probably supported by the Mil Inc to extract the resources and sell them off; hence nothing ever changes.

It's not major insurgency, they don't hold any territory, they hide in the 1000km no man land in the desert and use hit and run tactics. For Pakistan it will cost billions to secure all the desert so they don't do it. Pakistan is a poor country, lack of education, corruption etc so exploitation does take place, similar to many developing nations. Pastun tribal areas are similar, majority are peaceful but it's tribal society with guns and some militants keep using hit and run attacks but don't hold any territory.
