15-year-old allegedly run over by employer after workplace dispute in Multan

The alternates are not very appealing to the public. Government failed to provide a fair and just substitute, you can call this failure their protection of an existing system.

Why should someone living in a mountain in Basham should travel all the way to Abbottabad or then to Peshawar to get a new date fixed for his case.
You said it: "Govt failed", I'd like to add: "Successive govt's failed"
Before someone blames the white man and his laws, this is an administrative issue, and not legislative.

There is no blood money in case of intentional killing. It is straight hell, no forgiveness, no room for ifs and buts.

It is very clear in Quran. Verse 4:92 (permits blood money in case of an unintentional killing) verse 4:93 needs no molvi's interpretation

"And whoever kills a believer intentionally, their reward will be Hell—where they will stay indefinitely. Allah will be displeased with them, condemn them, and will prepare for them a tremendous punishment."

Pakistan's judicial system is corrupt, incompetent, unjust and delays justice by unreasonable high number of years and decades.
Can you name one dept in Pakistan NOT corrupt?
Sub nangay hain is Hammam main

Bizarre link? Dude are you for real? So tell me why people are on death row, yet not executed for the last 5~6 years?

Have you heard of PSP+ ? Govt ministers are on record, on this issue, yet here we have you......

Please stay clueless and carry on....
GSP+. OK, fair point. However, this trade arrangement does not actually require the removal of the death penalty. The death penalty can still be implemented without harming this arrangement.

If you ask me, these bleeding hearts liberals don't know what they actually want. Infanticide and rape with murder and honour crime killings should be punished with a death sentence IMHO.

*if we don't DETER such crimes with a death penalty, can you guess what the exact same Ursula von Eurotrash will complain about?

In Pakistan, intentional murders are turned into unintentional accidents by putting pressure on the family of the victim. Thus the payment of blood money and off you go.

The parliament has tried to redress some of this through introducing laws that make the state a party to many such crimes so even if the perpetrator tries to pressure the other side to take blood money, the state can still prosecute/punish the perpetrator. This is in theory, it has not worked at scale.

The reality of the situation is that just yesterday everyone was asking for an example to be made of the perpetrator. The state just did that and I think its fair to say it has shocked the system for a lot of people.

However, as many here are noting, the Punjab police has been getting around the court backlog through these measures for a couple of years now.

One is not sure how to digest this whole affair. The anger at the death of an innocent child, followed immediately by straight-forward extra-judicial killing of the perpetrator.

One can also say at least there is no doubt as to the crime committed by the perpetrator so the death sentence carried out was just, however the manner of it, i.e., without due process, causes some unease.

All above aside, serious questions should be asked of the orphanage that sent this poor child to these thugs. Why is an orphanage sending a school-aged kid to learn trade work when he should be in school (which by the way is another massive crime against children in Pakistan)?

The failure of "due process" in Pakistan tantamount to its absence, or even when it works, it is regularly bought. Hanging of the corrupt Qazi may reset things.

Again failure of the state, where are those polytechnic institutes that should be catering all such helpless teenagers and equip them with some technical skills. May be the peeli taxi and the yellow mazda schemes destroyed it or may be the sifarish culture played its role.

You know Pakistanis go very soft or totally ignore the misdoings of bureaucracy. They are the real benefactors of this system. People blame Jarnail and BA fail incompetent politicians but no one ever questions the babooz or the judges of this country.

Pakistan does not hang people anymore, due to EU pressure, hence this was the only way out...
EU is just a bunch of hypocrite retards. They will send all the aid to genocidal zionist entity but won't give death penalty to psychopath serial killers. I hope Trump and Russia bomb these losers.

There is a lot wrong with Pakistani society. Where do you even start to address these issues?

I admittedly don't have a lot of knowledge about Pakistani society.

Obviously this isn't the only thing that could help, but maybe making more jobs available?

EDIT apologies, this has nothing to do with the kid that was run over. I was just responding in general to the individual about Pakistani society in general

Done already.
The guy is dead . I don't support this type of "Justice " fuk it
yeah..
a mockery of the judicial system, public consciousness, and rule of law.
The rule doesn't apply to the judge's son, Natasha of Karachi, Captain Hamad or Bilal, who raped Dr Shazia, etc.
Now, if the case had taken its course, then there would have been public discussion, debate, discourse, etc.
Perhaps it could have shaped pubic opinion about step-sons. Now, he can play the victim.
As Raza Dar has not received CCD treatment, even this boy's death has been used by PMLN to its advantage.
The man killed a boy, but PMLN has used body's death for PR.
