19 Taiwanese Celebrities Celebrate China's National Day

The special program for China's National Day will be broadcast on CCTV tonight (1). Among the participants, Taiwanese artist Michelle Chen wore a red outfit and sang "My Motherland" with Chinese artists, which sparked heated discussions.

In fact, she had previously shouted "Wishing our motherland a beautiful and prosperous future" in the trailer. In addition, artist Chang Chen-kuang also appeared on CCTV's National Day Gala.

October 1st is China's National Day. Many Taiwanese artists working in China repost related posts from Chinese state media on Weibo or post messages congratulating China on its National Day.

At a regular press conference held on October 1st, the Mainland Affairs Council (MAC) Deputy Minister Liang Wen-chieh was asked about this and responded: "We've seen about 19 cases now.

They're all reposting template text from CCTV. It's mostly the same artists, the same people. Some of them, if you weren't specifically reminded, you wouldn't even know they're Taiwanese.

We've mentioned before that there are two red lines: first, you can't advocate for the use of force against Taiwan; second, you can't advocate for the elimination of the Republic of China's sovereignty. If either of these situations is involved, then of course we will investigate and deal with it."
