What we might see in a future variant maybe a 30 mm gun instead of the 12.7 mm gun. But this is just speculation.

India probably paid very well; across many products; defense, hydrocarbons, and other machinery. Russia probably sees India as some kind of solid base demand for many of its industries.

Can’t tell much about SK military cooperation. we are still at early stage. the problem however Viet Nam and SK is the same with Japan: conflict of military doctrine. they still harbour anti communism stance.

Why can't you understand? As long as India has money, it will surely have avenues to buy arms.

Even if Russia does not sell arms to India, there are the French, and the Americans who are willing to do so. So why should we stop Russia from selling arms to India?

India and Russia both need to balance against China. This is their shared goal.
A powerful China makes Russia very uneasy. However, Russia’s most immediate threat at the moment is NATO.

The DF-41 has always been like this. It primarily uses a TEL launch system. Documentation indicates it can also be launched from fixed missile silos, but this method was not demonstrated.

China is building a much advanced mini nuclear reactor technology based on Thorium for its aircraft carriers and other military purposes. China won't buy old tech from Russia as it's military's tech baseline is a generation ahead of Russia and the US.

Chinese military evolution took place after 2000's and it has no old baggage but just things to retire. The US and Russia has a lot of legacy systems they must carry forward for next 2 decades.

Russia currently will sell anything paying hundreds of millions dollars for TOT. Like they are doing in S-400's case, India is already starting to make 150 KM interceptors of course with Russian assistance and majority parts currently but they are now getting TOT.

this thorium is a long way we will see if it works in practice. there is no active reactor yet for general purposes. from the China academy of science, a thorium reactor with 60MW thermal energy will be built in 2029, but only 10 MW thermal output for electricity generation. that 10MW will be below the requirement of 50MW minimum to power a nuclear submarine. to power an aircraft carrier is even a longer way.

Russians still have apprehensions of China being their giant neighbor. So when compared to India, they are more tight about military tech transfer or selling more advanced weapons to China not only nuke subs but also like aircraft fighters before. But, I don't think the nuke sub tech transfer to India is the most advanced one. Anyway, Chinese nuke sub tech are catching up very fast if not surpassing soon, so I don't know if there is still real need now.
