I would argue that the army can be cut by some percentage, 10/15% and the air force should be doubled in size.

I 100% agree with you, our Air force needs a big Boost, addition 3-4 sqs of 4++ Gen fighter jets, be it JF-17b3's or J-10CE's or F-16'sV's or mix of all. We already are down 1 sq which we send to KSA, so i hope PAF is working to fill whatever Gap they got from this deployment.

Why you need anti Aircraft -gun systems against Drones. . We should follow German company Kraus Mafei did with there anti aircraft- guns they have a data link to share info in targets with other Geopards.

Well, with UAV’s (drones) becoming more common and cheaper, I guess there could be a need for such systems, especially in anti -drone/ terror scenarios. I think if Pakistan had been moving -away from gun-based short-range anti-air missiles is a mistake. Missiles can be defeated , bullets cant. Gun base platform are so relevant in a modern war vs drones etc .

During the Rusdia-Ukrainan War, anti-air guns and heavy machine guns, and their ammo showed the highest rate of shortage in supply! Hence, the Turkish MIC has established specialized companies like Sarsilmaz to cater for such needs....

Pakistan in theory could convert there old American armoured M113s chassis into an anti aircraft gun systems. Fixing a mounted gatlin Gun or sort technical assistance from China or Turkey.

Oh no. That’s way more difficult and complicated for Pakistan unless China helps them in the future

I suspect not much. PAF lately is inducting very few numbers of mixture of systems. MALE UAVs of different types / origin were inducted but each in very few numbers. Something that I don't understand. Why? Instead could have gone for Shahpur but at greater numbers. Why we needed TB2 for ?

For these new air defense systems, the important question is not just how many types of air-defense units PAF has procured, but important question is scaling. Can you really install / position all these systems for all of the major airbases? Have we procured enough ?

I'd assume we don't have numbers yet unless officially claimed otherwise.

Enough for at least of each type for each airbase, and then for major overground control centres, and logistic bases, right ?
