Afghanistan: General News and Discussion

One more correction. There is not ONE war the Afghans have ended in a stalemate (forget about winning) without outside support. They lost to the British, Soviets dominated them and Americans did not lose a SINGLE tactical battle against them. These are historical facts.

All the talk of "graveyard of superpowers" etc. is propaganda. The superpowers lost interest in a land that gives little and is landlocked. What is beyond Afghanistan is what was of interest to the occupying powers, not Afghanistan itself. In an odd way, they were lucky that they got invaded because whatever development/infrastructure you see in Afghanistan today was built by the Soviets and Americans. On their own, they could not muster much. Also remember, our people laid down their lives to sustain the original Muj who eventuallly gave way to these thankless Takfiri bastards.

So all those who try to warn and scare Pakistan with this need to realize what happened on the ground. Not that Pakistan has any interest in "invading" Afghanistan. Just stating facts here for posterity sake. Hope better sense prevail in the minds of these Takfiri bastards.
For some reason, I think the Taliban and Afghans thought Pakistan would invade Afghanistan, and as a result enemies of Pakistan would throw them another prolonged lifeline. But Pakistan's response has been airstrikes and border closure, which has totally baffled the Taliban.

They're already offering olive branch to Pakistan.

Afghan Taliban say doors open for talks to resolve issues

Just last month they were announcing they had opened alternative routes for their trade.

@Blain2

Blain sb,

They lost to the British, Soviets dominated them and Americans did not lose a SINGLE tactical battle against them.

But the Afghans won every strategic war. The invaders had to leave everytime.

All the talk of "graveyard of superpowers" etc. is propaganda. The superpowers lost interest in a land that gives little and is landlocked.

And yet everytime, these superpowers invaded AFG, they soon went into terminal decline, one way or the other.

Not that Pakistan has any interest in "invading" Afghanistan.

Well, many of my Pakistani brethren here want just that.

Regards

@Pakistan Space Agency

PSA sb,

They seem to be infamous for preventing repeated invasions of their country.

May I rephrase this a little bit:

"They seem to be infamous for attracting and then repelling repeated invasions of their country."

Sir, you can't teach idiots what history has shown us. Hate is derived from obnoxious stupidity, when one who lived under 200 years of British rule, still uses the same system and mocks others for invasions. There's no need to reason.

They'll get you to stoop to their level then beat you with generational experience. :D

@PakistanLVR

yea, you're definitively worse, Afghans can stand up for themselves,

In a way you are right, sir. I wish my fellow Indian Hindus were as courageous and ghairatmand as our Afghan cousins, but alas that is not to be.

Regards
