There were also reports of clashes between Pakistan and Afghan Taliban forces at Chitral border.

Heavy clashes between the Taliban and Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) forces have been ongoing since Saturday morning in Kamdesh district of Nuristan province and Nari district of Kunar province.

In a statement, the Afghanistan Freedom Front said that parts of Kamdesh and Nari districts had been taken from Taliban control. The AFF also claimed that it had seized a large amount of equipment and destroyed dozens of drones.

Taliban-affiliated media, while confirming that clashes had taken place, claimed that AFF forces had suffered casualties.
